Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case
It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.
Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

She just wanted to party. Hang her for killing her baby
Years ago I knew a woman who drugged her baby with paregoric, which is tincture of Opium, so she could go out and party. She was slime too and incredibly stupid.
Not guilty. The investigators and prosecutors just want to look like heroes going after "evil" when the whole binary opposition "good/evil" is flawed from the beginning. I rather see Casey's life celebrated than demonized. She is a smart girl with admirable conviction and dedication, sticking to her stories in the face of authority. Great courage of that girl.

Yes, i agree an eye 4 an eye. i DONT BELIEVE A WORD CASEY ANTHONY SAYS, SHE IS A LIAR AND CLEARLY WAS NOT READY FOR PARENTING. I I have a two year old...if that little guy is outta my sight for more than a coupla minutes,..i worry about what hes up to. For Caylee to be "missing" for 31 days and for her mother to be out partying is beyond my comprehension..

What bothers me is the amount of ignorance and projection in many of the comments here. People seem to know nothing about anything but have opinions about everything. Get a clue people! Everybody thinks they are the "norm" until they wake up and become aware of the fact that individuals develop countless different strategies for coping. What may seem completely natural to you may (and often does) seem bizarre to others. Behavioral strategies do not prove guilt/innocence. One of Casey Anthony's main strategies in life was lying. Denial is lying. Pretending that Caylee was alive and partying are examples of extreme denial which are no different from my 80 year old mother going on a 3 month shopping spree and acting like a crazed social butterfly after my dad died. She literally shopped (and lunched) until she dropped, and then it finally hit her that she was alone.
Not a very good analogy with this case. Natural death vs. murder is not apples & apples.
As adults we can all agree to disagree. No one should be labled ignorant because of their opinion, that is why we fight to keep a democratic society in the US. Sadly, her behavior is not typical for a mother who loves their child> would u go out and party like a rockstar and u do not know where your baby is at? would you not report your child missing for 31 days? I dont know to many parents who would except the likes of SUSAN SMITH AND DIANE DOWNS !!!
This is what is wrong with America and social media. We the public, ARE NOT the jury!! THE TRUE JURY, has been sitting in that courtroom and listening to key parts of the case, and reviewing evidence that we the public do not get to see. This country was founded on the principle of INNOCENT until proved guilty. But thanks to social media, that principle has been flipped on its head. I weep for the direction this country that I love is spiraling towards.

Casey is gulity, i mean the woman shows no signs of remorse when talking the attorneys or her family members talk about sweet little Caylee. She should be punished, perhaps the same way she did Caylee. RIP Caylee

Prosecutor did as best as he could with the evidence they had, the defense on the other hand is scatter brained, why would a mother wait a full month to let every one know her child was missing?? The mom just wanted to party and pretend she was single, where is the Dad in all of this, probably ashamed of what happened and afraid to show hisface for not being there for his daughter, they should strap her to the gurney with duct tape on her nose and mouth and wait for her to suffocate and let the world watch!!

i'll never forget the time i took my 3 kids to margate nj beach when they were yound and sitting on the beach with them i turned my head for one minute and my youngest child colleen was gone i thought i would die i screamed like an insane person screaming her name and in 1 minute i saw her 2 blankets down from me i think about that everyday of my life and i thank god she was found in 1 minute BUT TO NOT REPORT YOU CHILD MISSING FOR OVER 30 DAYS THE WOMAN IS GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY SHE IS A PHYCOPATH AND PATHOLOGICAL LIAR CAROL SULLIVAN

Everyone keep mentioning "accidental overdose with chloroform". Look people. She looked it up on her computer 83 times! After 83 times, a person could write a book on the correct dosage. She used it to render the child unconscious, and put duct tape over her nose and mouth. This case is not complicated to understand. We may not know everything, but she has started lying from day one. People lie if they have something to hide. Accident gone wrong? I call BS. She is guilty.

There is no way that this trial will be fair for any party because of the unprecedented number of viewers that are influencing the outcome. This jury should be sequestered and kept away from the television, but they are not. Shocking. One thing for certain that I see is that media pundits with no legal skill at all are offering opinions that are wrong.

This is a sad case for everyone. I think Casey may be a sociopath, in which case psychiatric treatment addressing this illness would be much more constructive than a life term or death penalty.
You can't rely on treatment. She needs to be locked up if not put to death. Medications are not reliable. I've seen too many people go off their meds at will. Casey should never be allowed to give birth again.
Give her another chance to have another child to kill. Don't you know there are very evil people in this world and it's up to the good people to protect us from them. Sham on you for your lack of understanding what she did. Her life isn't worth S–t. The babys life was worth everything.
Casey Anthony is bipolsr with a borderline personality. She's not crying & upset because of her daughter. The tears & emotion are because she got caught. The promiscuous behavior is indicative of manic bipolar disorder. The pathological lying, and being so expert at it are indicative of the borderline personality disorder as well as the narcissicism that accompanies it. It's all about Casey & her wants. Though these are mental health diagnoses, they do not mean that she is insane. Far from it. She knows right from wrong, and is/was competent at the time her child disappeared and subsquently died. This is a tragedy for her entire family, and strongly reminiscent of the Susan Smith case in the not so far past. Her parents probablly would have taken custody of Caylee if asked. It's clear that she was deeply loved by them, and by all appearances would have been estactic to reaise her. So, so sad.

there is no treatment as far as prescription meds for this! narcissistic personality disorder/sociopathic tendencies are both genetic and learned behaviors and they can't just take a pill. casey would have to admit and recognize her issues before anything could happen as far as psychological treatment and we all know that she blames everyone for everything and will not accept responsibility for anything, and is not honest with herself or anyone else which is a major key to recovery of personality disorders..
