Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

    We are such a sick society...and I admit...I am one of them. I have a daughter and perhaps that's why I find myself rubbernecking at news snippets to see this sad, tragic, trainwreck. As a mom, I want to shout, " Burn the witch"...As a citizen, I am angry that this circus is allowed to occur and be front page news.

    Of course she is guilty. Her actions during the month after Caylee went missing are proof enough for me. The lies she told everyone, etc. She is guilty. And if the jury is stupid and does not convict her, Judgment Day is waiting for her and God will deal with her accordingly. You cannot fool God, Casey. He knows what you did.

      Her actions actually do not support the premeditated murder case. If she really thought it through, then she wouldn't party so much. She would report the baby missing and pretend to look for her. And probably hide the body further than a stone throw away....

    They say if you don't like something don't watch. I like Headline News but not the freak shows (nancy & jane). So I haven't watched in a while. I know this garbage does ratings so obviously there are many who do want to see it so have at it. Just wish I could get news and not this.

    No matter the details of the scenario, she was of sound mind and if knows the truth and her father was involved would have fought that one to the finish. She murdered her own infant and partied it off thinking our system was naive enough to let this one blow over and her be missing forever. She deserves the neglect and death Caylee suffered!

    A quick decision guilty of murder but consider this the jailhouse tape :drowned in the pool like dah. my opinion gramps hid the body, he lied on the witnes stand. did not get help for the tot mom.he set his step daughter up for jail,he knows the law and is a professional witness ever willing to do what it takes.
    big trouble for the prosicution the giant leep from loving tot mom to killer lesbian party girl .
    if I were on that jury .I would be praying like craze to know the truth and make the correct decision

    Imagine if she is found not guilty, What will life be like at the Casey household? Would she go home? Where would she go? I couldn't imagine her parents letting her live with them.

    What a waste of time and money. Hang her . Find out who assisted her and hang them. Thirty one days while she is out dancing and getting tatoos. How many people would have taken this baby and given her a good life. The line would cross the country. Send her to France and they would adore her. Thank G-D we know what to do. We have to send the word out that life is a sacred thing and those who wrongfully take it away from someone, especially when in your potection, must pay the ultimate penalty.

    Absolutely guilty. Her behavior after Caylee's disappearance was enough for me to consider that it was premeditated murder. She wanted her freedom (ironic considering where she is now). And I believe that her biggest issue was jealousy over all the attention that Cindy paid Caylee and not Casey.

    Guilty for 1st degree. If you weigh the evidence piece by piece and then look at them all together, it's a very strong case. If it was just the trunk or smell, or just the duct tape or just the lies or just the very odd behavior- it would be difficult to convict, but taken as a whole, it is compellingly beyond a reasonable doubt. I hope for life in prison as a sentence, the death penalty will appeal to her dramatic martyr syndrome whereas life would completely suck for her.

    Casey never cried over Caylee but often "showed" tears when herself was referred to.
    I expect this to be a quick verdict of guilty on all accounts. With that said there is no winner here. Casey ruined so many lives with her selfish actions.
    I pray that finally there will be some justice for little Caylee. If there is such a thing as justice when a life is taken.

    I think she killed her daughter, however, unfortunately, I don't think the prosecution proved their case "beyond a reasonable doubt," using the evidence they presented. Based on the evidence, I don't see how the jury can convict her (if they follow the rules of the facts proven in the case). That being said, I hope there were some people in the jury that went with their gut instead of their brains, even though that's not how you're suppose to judge. Now, if this were a civil case and the burden of proof was "a preponderance of evidence," then she should be found guilty.

    Casey has NEVER acted like a mother who didn't know where her child was. She has ALWAYS known where she is–exactly where she put her. I believe there was a lot more tension between Casey and her mother than what was brought out. Even if Casey just snapped and killed her daughter out of anger–she is still guilty.
    To you people who think the state did not prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt - you don't have to have a photo or eye witness when a crime is committed – if we did, NO ONE would be found guilty. Look at the facts - who else would have wanted this beautiful little girl dead. Did someone walk lin off the street and do this???
    Following the law does not mean you don't use common sense!!!
