Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I think it will be guilty verdict but to a lesser charge. The evidence presented isnt enough to earn a first degree murder conviction. This does not mean she didnt kill her daughter, I believe she did, but the state did not prove it beyond reasonable doubt

Susan,Did u kill your daughter too, and then accuse your father AND brother of molesting you? Is that why u and Casey would get along? Do you lie as easily as she does? God help you both!

I'm in love with Casey Anthony and hope she gets off, maybe she and I can go out for a few drinks or something to eat somewhere and she can tell me the whole story.

i think that the suicide note is a major red flag, thus not enough extensive investigation around George. But that's how the police are, they wanna find who's the most obvious suspect, arrest them and then close the case. If they would've investigated more...

The prosecution failed to prove beyond doubt the cause of death, and connect Casey Anthony directly to that death. Yeah, I feel in my gut she's guilty, but my gut is not enough to find her guilty based on the evidence presented. I have a feeling she will walk.

To me, there is reasonable doubt. Even if there is 1% doubt- should be murder w/reasonable doubt.

Guilty. Who murders their child for ANY reason? Either she's mentally unstable or she's a murderer. And finally, a female executed. It's always men that have to go to jail – men are always the bad guys.

Guilty. It sickens me that any of you could honestly believe that she is innocent.

I think she is innocent based on watching the trial. The State did not convince me. But assuming the State did prove its theory of the case, I rather see Casey released with "time served." Anything above maybe five years seems excessive to me.

I'm with you, Brianna. Just look at her lies and actions after the death. Look at the source of all of the stuff she was buried in/with. She wanted her freedom and now she is going to lose it – hopefully for a long time.

No matter what the jury decides – there will be many in the public and media that will disagree . When I heard about the " serious computer issues" that the government deliberately mis-led the court on – scares me as to what elase was made up

I do have children and that's why I have to say this. We tend to look at the prosecution with "authority", but I have seen so many "innocent" people go to jail or get the death penalty for things they didn't do. I'm not saying that she didn't do something wrong but I don't believe she killed her baby girl. I believe it when she said that she was molested by both her father and brother. I believe that her dad had something to do with Caylee's death. I think they are both guilty for covering up such a sad event, but I don't believe the prosecution proved that SHE actually murdered her daughter. Do I think she needs prison time? You bet I do. Do I think she should get the death penalty? No. I believe her father should have a trial too!

I do have children. Nobody's saying that she isn't guilty, it's just not been proven and there is a big difference. In the states as with here in Canada it's innocent until proven guilty. Not just guilty cause she looks it, or acted weird during the time leading up to and during the trial or guilty cause i feel it in my gut. She has to be proven guilty and the state hasn't proven beyond a doubt anything in this case.

Come on now common sense. When my child was 2 or 3 and got out of my sight for 2 mins I would be losing my mind. I would call everyone family, friends and the police. If my child could not be found. She let 31 days go before she let anyone know Caylee was missing. Come on now. Getting tats and partying and she says she has no idea where her child is. Come on people a mom just does not do that. If it was an accident they would have called an ambalance and try to save her. It is sad to think that a mom wanted to party so much that she felt like she had to use chloroform on a 2 year old. She should have left her with her grandparents

She needs to fry. Send a strong message that these party happy young single mother's can't pull this crap anymore. She wanted to be a kid and ignore her own...so badly that she was willing to end her child's life. She needs to suffer.

I think you are a moron, you don't even know the facts, reasonable doubt, you know what it means, she is probably guilty but we don't know that for sure. I say a long prison sentence. Also, there is no previous evidence of child abuse. If we start executing young women without hard evidence, we are no better than the Taliban.

So it seems that the skeptics want no less than a video of Casey committing this crime before they will believe that she is guilty. There is nothing else that is reasonable! Give me something reasonable!

Casey should have taken the stand. It would have perhaps shed some light on some things surrounding the case. The prosecutions closing arguments and last rebuttal really closed up a lot of loop holes which if Casey would have testified would have shed some light. I think she's gonna be found guilty.

Casey on the stand would have been the final straw. All she could have done is further the lies.
