Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

A mother, a normal mother, would do anything including give her own life to protect her child. This woman is a murderer and deserves a life sentence if she doesn't receive the death penalty.

Here in Canada, there would be more than enough evidence to convict. Also if found not guilty the prosecution could have another go through appeals process. Consider the fact that she was interrogated and continued with her story about the Nanny. Then the defence comes up with this pool drowning story which is acknowledgement that she was lying from the get go and admission that she was there for the death of her daughter. Who could withstand the interrogation, the search, the questions from your mother knowing your daughter was rotting in a swamp? This girl is textbook sociopath as was Ted Bundy. She's guilty but she will never feel guilt for what she has done. I think her lack of emotion for her father's anguish was not about childhood abuse it was about the fact that Dad refused to take the fall for her.

All emotions aside, when as here there is no evidence presented to prove Casey did some act that caused Caylee to die nor even the cause of death of Caylee, the immediate result is NOT GUILTY. Prosecuter theories and accusations are NOT evidence. This case should never been filed in the first instance without such proof.

I think Casey did kill Caylee, most likely drugged Caylee so she would go to sleep but gave her a lethal dose. I think she finally confessed to her dad and he helped her cover it up. However, I think this will be a hung jury. All Baez needed to do was confuse one of them; reading all the comments here it is easy to see how Baez has muddied the waters.

Just an idea maybe she had taped the baby's mouth shut several times in past to go out and party and knock her out with beneadril some drug because no illegal drugs were found, so had to be legal. She did it in the middle of summer. She gets home and BOOM heat is way she died. She flips and lies lies lies and drives with the body a while or not and but i am guessing not long did she drive with her dead due to smell , so immediantly after she finds her dead tosses like trash and puts it in the back of her mind. If it was premeditated she would had done a lot better job then save her self for a few month of fun. Anybody thought about this one????????????

One fact that the prosecution didn't bring up, why I don't know, is that Casey had a huge fight with her mothnight because Casey was again caught stealing money from her grandfather's nursing home account. Huge fight with Cindy choking her, and other angry words. Casey wanted to punish Cindy. Of course Cindy lied on stand and said that it was a bonding night that night. Liar.

    I would give her life..
She did it.. But there is a doubt about how or why.. And there was no proof that she systematically took time and planned it.. If that had of been proven, then she should have gotten the death penalty..
Only she knows.. And she's not saying.. But whatever happened was bad enough she tried to cover and lie and blame others.. So it was bad enough she knew the truth would be worse than lying, knew the truth would only assure her of a conviction.. That in it's self is an admission of guilt..

Yes, Daniel. I agree. And Rt, you call ME stupid. I don't think you follow logic very well. (Also, in case you didn't know–calling someone stupid really isn't much of an argument.) You said that Casey has the right to do what she wanted with what she created. Yes, that's very logical, isn't it? Are you psycho? No, I'm serious. When it comes to humans, it's not legal to do anything you want to to them if what you want to do is harm them. I hope that you can follow that. And thanks other person for worrying about my children, but they don't need your concern.

Murder, yes. Premeditation, doubtful. You don’t plan on killing your child and then look for a shovel two weeks later. She wanted to party all night, used too much chloroform and ended killing her child.

This is Larry Harmon reporting to you all live from the court house. The jury has found Casey Marie Anthony is not guilty on all 7 counts. The jury made a discovery that wasn't brought up by the state. This would have to go down as the quickest verdict in my many years of working in journalism. The state will be attempting to appeal this and have a withdrawal of this verdict since the media received an unconfirmed report on the verdict that wasn't announced yet in court. This is Larry Harmon reporting to you live, as it happens,

sooooo she is a careless mother who could still have a living baby if she was more responsible... but she will get off because the prosecution did a bad job of laying out evidence AND of choosing the crimes they are prosecuting her for. She will live the rest of her life depressed because she will never escape this wretched part of her past; at least theres a chance this will cost society less than locking her up for years and then killing her, but after a trial like that, i guess cost is always an afterthough anyway....
