Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

It should read why is THE MEDIA OBSESSED WITH THIS TRIAL. Not why were obsessed with the trial. OMG...... why didn't the police dept push JVM out of the way. They are there to protect the atty's yet they let her and her fat trap right in to hound Chaney & Baez. It's nice to see our Media can do whatever it wants to do.

Im brainstorming about hear me out....!!!
IS it possible that Casey used Chloroform, went out to party with Boyfriend ro someone, then Caylee actually woke Up anyway then wondered into the pool and drowned. She was then found by Casey and/or Mr. Anthony and then after realizing this (as not an accident because chloroform was actually used albiet she woke up) they bet on the fact that it would be better to hide the evidence as oppose to reporting it because the police would discover chloroform and would get her on the felony anyway. This possible was indeed an Accident that snowballed out of control. If the body was discovered earlier they could have seen evidence of drowning. However evidence of suffocation by alleged duct tape should have left an indication behind the ears as one of the medical experts of 60 years suggested.
All Im saying is Its possibly that Casey found Calley with Chloroform utilized , but not enough and she woke up and drowned. Still neglegent albiet not 1st degree, and if she made it in the pool on her own possible not felony because she was awake enough and strong enough to get in the pool. Just throwin this out there after thinking about what scenerio covers all aspects. Not sure if Mr anthony knew but ...who knows...maybe he owed her a favor... to help cover up as his past was covered up..or maybe not. He may have owed her something or He never found her in the pool and casey tried to cover it up on her own and he figured it out (or found her) on his own and tried to help cover it up. Maybe those two are the only ones that know, and maybe Casey is the only one leaving family perplexed. But its the only thing that makes sense as to why she would not call police knowing she used chloroform and it would eventually get found out. As for the partying, It looks like she was some sort of shot girl, which I beleive is like an actual job. SO although it looks like she is partying, she may be forced to portray a partying atmosphere because thats what shot girls are suppose to do and she doesnt want to tell her friends and boss that she chloroformed her daughter and she drowned and so she wont beable to work the shotgirl excuse but would she really put duct tape and chloroform and suffocate her daughter to death intentionally...need to see evidence of that before I beleive a mother would doit. Not that a mother wouldnt thyink her life would be better without her child, but to actually suffocate your child with chloroform requires prmeditated proof. This was an accident that spun out of controll, yet she needs to spend many years in jail for it. People should not be negligent with there offspring like that.

Not a chance, You think a 2 year olf would be wandering back to her Grandparents house from a ngihtclub or Tony's house and no one would see her on the road? She killed her to spite Cindy, the physical fight and Cindy's threat of having Casey's parental rights revoked was the reason. I just wish this, and her diary, were allowed in as evidence.

Crime shows have ruined peoples idea of how the court system works. It's not an hour long show people where they can press a button and have all the answers magically appear. The prosecution has proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony alone is responsible for the murder of her daughter.

She tried to get rid of the body of her own child. Wouldnt you call an ambulance either way? Then she went out partying?! That say guilt any way you look at it. Even if she wasnt the murder she needs to spend her life in jail to think about it

I don't think she's innocent. the verdict of NOT GUILTY is a far cry from declaring her innocent. Personally, I think she is guilty as sin but I l also think the State did not offer any conclusive evidence that she is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. there is no eyewitness, no finger prints; no one is absolutely sure that she died at the hand of her mother. All we are sure of is that she died and her mother is beyond doubt guilty of reckless endangerment, severe child neglect, and perhaps depraved indifference.

Not guilty. Prosecution didnt prove their case. I see how they may have proved she was dead and decomposing in the car. But no proof on how she died. Drowning accident? Maybe. Murder by suffocation? Maybe. If we have to speculate, the duct tape involvement says to me george was involved, not a murder weapon. It seems more plausible that if Caylee drowned, George used his duct tape after she died, because her bodily fluids were all draining out. Which would be a lot more than usual cuz of the drowning. Casey wouldnt need duct tape to suffocate her. She would have used a pillow, so she wouldnt have to see her face. George was the handyman with the duct tape. He admitted he taped the gas can, to keep it from leaking too. If I had to speculate, I would say Caylee's death was an accident. And that her mother was negligent, and guilty of covering up her death to avoid being exposed as an incompetent mother. George helped her, cuz he knew his wife would go nuts when and if she found out and would divorce him. His guilt and it getting exposed is why he wanted to die, and made a weak attempt at suicide. Its a terrible trajedy of an innocent little girl. Only one thing was proven. Casey is a liar. But all other theories are speculation. Like I said in the beginning, there is zero proof on how Caylee died.

I don't believe this to be premeditated murder and is not a death penalty. She is obviously a product of her horrible family and it is so sad to have that little girl born into a family like that..Big question for me today was where was the little girl when her mother was dating etc. Could she have left her in the car in a heat situation. She knew she would go to prison for something like that and so started down this road shes on rather than the truth. I don't know if we will ever know and Hope she spends the next 25 years in prison but still don't see it as a death penalty. Don't believe it was intentional. I thought the whole trial and investigation was sloppy, Guess I am glad I am not on the jury...PS the media shows how sick we all don't be calling other opinionas sick! Guess I will send this, turn off the tv and go get an life.

The most damning information was Baez in his opening statement where he said Casey was there and her father held the lifeless body. He then proceeded to try to spin it as, "Well...maybe it happened this way?", or "Will you believe this is how it happened, or could have happened?" Plain and simple, I would have possibly believed she was innocent, but for the fact that from day one he admitted she was there (involved), but the prosecutor blew holes in her story and proved her father, mother, and others were not involved as she tried to portray. So... she was there, and the others weren't. Throw in the rest of the evidence and I'd be happy to buy the BBQ sauce and burn ointment.

This is is a modern witch hunt – classic case. The prosecution filled in speculation where the evidence was amiss. It was more important to win than to look for the truth. Casey is a disturbed young adult, but no wonder with this family background. That doesn't make her a murdress. No one proved a murder, there is just simply not enough evidence.

Bebe – can't yo discuss nicely? I am not a blood sucker – But I am a grandfather and I felt The Father's pain....She did it, and all they didn't prove was HOW...but she'll get a guilty verdict of some sort – If there was anybody else that could have possibly done it, why then did Casey not call 911 IMMEDIATELY after the child was gone? Because she killed her and hid it, that's why...

Casey brings to mind my exwife 10 years ago. We were married with 2 kids 10 years. She could not tell the truth about anything, but i stayed with her knowing that both my kids were not mine. I knew the truth about her but was afraid of the life syle we had. Fortunately she was not violent or I would not be here today. I got custody of the kids when the divorce was final and she has made zero attempts to see the kids after all these years.

Too many reasonable doubts involved, no real hard evidence, only "what if" scenarios. Yes, she should be held responsible for negligence of a child; lying and not reporting her child missing. However, the rest is simply weak allegations . You can't convict someone by judging their lack of integrity. Manslaughter, tops.

well if you all were watching hln you would know that the chloroform and syringe and rag was found with caylees remains.the prosection i believe chose not to put all their eggs in one basket in case of mistrial they had more evidence for second trial and casey is sort of married to her story joses pinned, unless she fires him gets new attorney and accused jose of witness tappering and that that story too is bogus and spins her new attorney on second trial or appeals yet another caseyism story.and jose witness all seemed to turn on him and work for the i'd say jose gets a maybe the kid drowned but was it with mommys hrlp becasue caylee's vocals were getting as such she soon wouold be able to say cici no zanny zanny my and mommys pretend friend.and what caylee tells cicishe doesnt like it when mommy wipes her face with a sweet smelling rag it puts her to nap time.or it's dark in mommys car!!!casey if exposed was defiaintly already facing jail time up to 20 years do u think she wanted her kid to expose her to that it was more than just the beautiful life she wanted, she wanted to hurt her mom, because they found out about all the thefts,so her parents had out lived their usefulness when with that knowledge and refusing to babysit she had little use for them her lies werent working at home so much anymore, they questioned everthing she did and with reason.she put them into bankruptcy, lee had to sign or refiance their home thanks to case and now its in foreclosure.because of stress and media attention they can't even work to pay have some empathy for george ,lee and cindy.and least lets not forget this is suppose to be aboutABOUT JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE AND NOT A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD FOR A SOULESS DAUGHTER AND YOUNG MOTHER.

I watched the entire hours and hours of the LIVE closing arguments by the prosecution and defense. The prosecution showed NO evidence 'beyond a doubt' that Casey killed her daughter. The defense atty Baez, pin pointed and tore apart every single bit of fake evidence that was used by the State, and did a fantastic and eye opening job into the case, of doing so. I think the entire family is as creepy as their own daughter, and if we were allowed to punish someone for Caylee's death, it would be Casey's parents, not Caylee's mother, for bringing up such a messed up child as Casey. They certainly are semi responsible for the early demise of a 2 yr old. I believe they are all guilty of misconduct thru one another and ended up being neglectful of Caylee to cause the death....cop cheating grandfather, controlling and spiteful mother and Casey who is down right mentally ill which is caused by HER PARENTS neglect of Casey...they knew she had make believe friends and a make believe job for God's sake!

you need to seriously do some research then on personality disorders!!!!there is no way you can pass the buck on casey's actions to her family they were dysfunctional souly becasue of casey.and all of this came to a head in athe matter of a years time.dont you think they have suffered enough while even in jail( which seems to agree with her,she has adapted nicely to it)she still shows no remorse all tears are for us to view or for self pity.i hope she gets aleast 20 years.because based on her profile this was only her first kill.till you've walk in there shows ,know their pain...i suggest you do some real homework on the subject!

either you didnt understand the evidence or i would surmise you identify with casey, and relate somehow to her home life.could it be you have lived in a simular social enviroment with a tug of war.are you possibly a young single mom living with her parent or been there.i'm also wondering if you understood the legal systemand the jury's instructions.did you feel scott peterson innocent of killing his wife and unborn baby?over his wanting the beautiful life and freedom to insue another women?tired of the ball and chain of marriage, and approaching fatherhood? tell di any of you think that casey is innocent or not guilty on all counts or most serious ones, think scott peterson was quilty.
