Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I don't know why, but I have become as addicted to this courtroom drama as I have been hooked on series on Fox or other networks (ex: 24, CSI, etc)...

Hollywood couldn't come up with a more interesting story - it's really sad that a small part of me is "entertained" by this - and it bothers me .. because a small girl died in a horrific way. Perhaps I'm just waiting for them to burn this Casey girl at the stake and end the drama... I'm not sure, but I feel she is guilty of murder and needs to pay - people like her get away with heinous acts all the time and never get caught or they get away with it.

For once, let's not let her get away with it.

What infuriates people is the fact that she partied after the child died. It ocurred to me that when those pictures were taken the baby could have still been alive and well. Casey Anthony left home sometime in mid June after a confrontation with her family over money. Grandmother Cindy reports Caylee missing in Mid july and says she last saw her grandaughter alive, one month earlier on June 16. If Casey had a falling out with mom, she wouldn't exactly be calling and visiting so that might explain not seeing either her or Caylee.. Then Anthony's get call to collect their daughter's car and it smells very bad. Mom Cindy naturally suspects foul play and calls police. From my understanding that happened in mid July and someone please clarify the timeline if I'm wrong. My question is when exactly were those party pics taken?

What is so sad is that after all is said and done, everyone will go back to their own lives and the Anthony family is destroyed. How sad, Their one daughter could do to their entire family. This family can't be put back together again like Humpty Dumpty. What price is being the unfortunate to be in the media.

It is simple: the prosecution did NOT prove beyond reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter. A motive to be able to party more is laughable at best and that's all they have. NO testimony of her being a bad mother, NO physical evidence linking Casey, without any doubt, to her daughter's murder...it goes on and on. I think her death was a horrible accident that got out of hand and her father was involved. She will go to prison on lesser charges but NOT first degree murder with premeditation. It simply wasn't proven.

You all are the sick ones. You sit here and analyze everything, spit out your redundant blabber about "what you think". No one cares what you think. Humans are a virus. We eat all the resources up in one area and move to the next. We judge others and condemn them in our eyes all for the mighty "Lord", aka the greenback, as we claim.

You will all perish. Casey Anthony is one of very, very many whose actions prove to be their own demise.

If Casey were black, the defense would play the race card (as in OJ) and she would go free (like OJ).

I believe Casey is guilty of murder in the 1st degree. The duct tape (3 pieces) and computer searches show premeditation. I feel so sorry for George and Cindy Anthony. The heartache they have gone through the last 3 yrs and it isn't going to end. They had to deal with losing their only grandchild, plus now losing their daughter forever, having their "secrets" exposed in front of millions, the protesters in front of their house, not to mention the media in their faces everytime they go out of their house. Even if Casey didn't get the death penalty or was found innocent, having to deal with her the rest of your life with the thought in the back of your mind that she took Caylee from you forever! Then if she is convicted having to go through this all over again on appeal as the death penalty gets a mandatory appeal. There is one BIG question that hasn't been answered or even brought up that is so obvious.....if it was an accident, why didn't they just call the police right then and there??? Neither side addressed this. I pray for the Anthony's. They have had a heavy burden to bear for such a long time and for a long time to come.

this is alot like the scott peterson case in which we dont know how or when the murder happened. I am a little troubled by no history of child abuse and she just wakes up one day and decides to kill her child. I mean if its premeditated why not stage it as a drowning ? i dont think it was intentional murder. The computer searches were on two days in march and no more after that – is two days of computer searching sufficient for a murder 3 months later . We all know caylee dies and her mother had something to do with it , I think the jury will come in the middle – manslaughter

HLN had an all-star team of lawyers what a joke they are. They are all looking to get a slot on TV. This is the reason lawyers get a bad name. How did they pass the bar exam ?. They were awful when Mr ashton got caught laughing they had no comment until almost five minutes later when the defense did something they are all over it.

I can not believe that anyone thinks for one minute that Casey is not guilty. 31 days No One saw Caylee. If this is suppose to be a accident then why all the partys. She did it and deserves her punishment

I cannot agree with you more. This prosecution team are a bunch of wanna be show stoppers. They have done nothing but waste the time and money of the taxpayers just so they could get their ugly faces on TV. I think that the defense is more accurate than the prosecution by a mile. It was an accident and a horrible one at that.

Although I beleive Casey may of comiited the crime I don't beleive the prosecution proved the case beyond a
reasonable doubt. It's probable but I am not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. There is good speculation that
she may of .....but not hard evidence. Surely, her parents cared out their grand-daughter and I feel very sorry for what they have endured.
