Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

Inferring guilt from the facts that she lied and partied is mistaken and quite immature. It is like arguing with teens here with the uneducated, unexperienced commentators who do not understand the law.

I'm not sure of guilt, was no lie detector used? I knew friends that were bad mothers and that does not mean your guilty!! Just because your a lier or a bad partier does not mean your a murderer... I hope the right decision plays out and not just hate towards someone.... :/

the definition of reasonable doubt is; what do you think? that is all that it is, so, I think she's innocent until PROVEN guilty. Proven by tangible or eyewitness evidence or testimony of the eyewitness. This whole trial has been a repeat of O.J. He got away with it as 'I' THINK he did it. And just because he lost his Civil Suit afterwords, that doesn't mean that he did it either. Civil Law is base off of the preponderance of the evidence; which simply means whichever side can lie enough to make the jury believe them wins. Has anyone known anyone to be convicted of perjury lately? Heck they've even got Grandma PROVEN to have perjured herself in court, but they're not going to pursue it! The courtroom is not a place of honesty and honor, so what if they have to swear on the Bible, that is just a book. The one's who should be on trial are the Judge and prosecutor for allowing this fiasco to exist at all; at the cost of the middle and low income earners who pay the taxes.

first if it was an accident- you do not dump a kid in the woods, you call 911-2nd she lied so damn much you can not believe anything she says, 3rd she searched a bunch of scary stuff like neck breaking probably trying to find the easiest/least messy/obvious manner of death. -a child- is dead and deseves justice, there was no kidnapping, no visits with the nanny, she may have used chloroform on her many times before she decided to do her in with duct tape. It defies logic that a mother would lose her daughter and get a "Bella Vita" tattoo, unless she was glad the child was gone.

I am a young mother, and sometimes I think about what my life would be like without my child. Sometimes I hope the kid gets sick and dies, but I would never intentionally kill it. I should have aborted early.

The judge ruled today that the state ( Ashton & Linda )n could not admit the computer evidence AS IT WAS TAINTED ! So , in other words – that info was "made up" and hence not admissible and if you listened carefully was not part of the closing .
DUCT TAPE would have sloughed off the skull along with the flesh – so it was placed long after decomposition .
I wrestle with the death of this child BUT I do not think we have been looking at the guilty person

Her boss testified she was at work. Maybe her boss is lying, right? The mother has covered for CA for years...read more about her history. Father not allowed to discipline her, etc, etc.

I don't think she is guilty either. Personally, I think the parents did it. I think she got caught up in it. I think she is guilty of "something" But I truly don't believe she murdered her kid. And frankly, I think she was out partying cause she had no idea anything happened. she was an irresponsible mother, but I think this stinks of the ex cop father.

Where is the proff that chemicals of anykind was found at the house , in the car ,on anyone's shoes,in posession of the parents or any other place that proves the cause of death. Atleast first degree murder may be totally ruled out by the jurrors. Why was George not implicated?????????????Strange

She is guilty on all counts. What do you people want...a written confession from her on how she did it? use your common freakin sense. All of the evidence points straight to Casey no ifs ands or buts about it. You don't need a history of child abuse or any of that if it's your first time...no one has a history of doing something if it's the first time they do it. And the fact that she didn't testify should be the nail in the coffin. If she's innocent, she should have testified and told the jury exactly what happened. Instead, she lied to police, lied in court with the not guilty plea, and should be convicted of all counts.

Ok Brian. Take your own advise and 'use your common sense' . First off, put down your personal bias. If and only if you can do that, then look at the actual evidence . Not heresy. Not speculation. Not 'theories' . Fact is , the kid is dead. Fact is even the medical examiner could not even determine how she died, let alone who did it. Fact is, Anthony tried to do nothing but cover it up and lie about it. But all the lying in the world is not a single shred of evidence she MURDERED the kid, and there is no evidence in the slightest she premeditated it. Partying afterwards is NOT proof she plotted to kill her kid . Its look terrible, but actually has nothing to do with it.
I want Anthony to spend as much time in jail as possible, but I don't want our legal system comprimised . I want her only convicted of the counts the state actually proved. They did NOT prove Anthony killed her daughter. IN fact, in my opinion, they didn't even prove Anthony killed her by accident (manslaughter) which is what i find to be the most likely explanation to what REALLY happened.
