Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

    I've been left wondering why the father, an one time cop, delayed contacting authorities. In any case, I don't feel convinced by prosecution's case.

    I feel that it will be a hung jury. Impossible to say without a doubt that she is guilty.
    It is impossible in the USA to get a fair trial.
    The expense is enormous.
    Most prosecutors and defense attorneys know little and play buddy games with each other and the judge.
    Probably half of the people found guilty are innocent, and half of the people found innocent are guilty

    Not Guilty of Murder – only guilty of lies that cost the Florida tax payers millions. If the media is going to exploit this trial for its entertainment value, it should pay the state royalties to cover the cost of the trial.

    If my life and honor were on the line, I would have testified. Don't testify=you're guilty. Where did the drowning theory even come from? Did they test her clothes for chlorine content? Wouldn't even a toddler think to put on her swimsuit? The pool wasn't that deep, etc... but the DUCT TAPE? NO other explanation but murder. I'm surprised Casey didn't accuse the boyfriend of wanting Kalyee out of the picture. GUILTY.

    I really felt thatt the state of Florida DID NOT investigate everyone involved ( Konk , George , or Lee ) . The police always protect their own and the main fact I can not ignore is IF George smelled "death" in the car , WHY didn't he call police immediately. The other factor that has bothered me is the total one sided reporting by the media and how they all had Casey tried and convicted ( esp. Nancy Grace ) .

      I don't know if Casey Anthony is guilty or not guilty. Regarding Nancy Grace...that woman has never seen an innocent person that she doesn't hate. Much better as a TV host (no accountability) than as a lawyer. Her emotions overcome her reasoning...or is it the money from being a celebrity she's after???

      I agree with you about the case. I also agree with you about Nancy Grace. It got so annoying for me that I stopped watching her show, and I don't see myself ever watching it again. Nancy Grace has lied about the facts and shown disrespect. Anyway, I hope they find Casey innocent. The prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt to me.

    Liberty or Death, I say Death no question, 31 days missing, lies, partying, invisable people. She deserves Death, what kind of mother would go dancing when her daughter has died. give me a break, life in jail or death, nothing less.

    cant believe how many brain dead or dummed out comments are written here. this woman is guilty as sin, Baez is a circus act not proving anything except that he is good at trying to disrupt common sense thinking and causing confusion. The prosecution was organized, the duct tape 3 pieces was the murder weapon, garbage or hamburger meat does not smell like a dead body rotting, the cadaver dogs have no ulterior motive they know what they were trained to do and they are on target. Most likely Casey wont get death penalty just life in prison. more tax payer waste of money.

    The person I feel for the most is Caylee! This is about a little girl who was failed by her mother. I believe Casey did do it and should be punished. I don't care what you went through it was Casey's job as a parent to advocate for her and protect her little girl. How dare her cry when she saw Caylee's remains, she let her be missing in silence for 31 DAYS!!! She needs to be punished in whatever means possible for failing as a mother and human being!

    I believe that Casey 'accidently' killed her daughter, it was not premeditated. She should be punished yes, but she should receive a compassionate sentence for the sake of her mother Cindy. I am not sure that her mother could make it through having a cheating husband and losing her grandaughter and having her daughter executed.
    Cindy deserves none of this.

    Sure, why not: throw another person in prison on scanty evidence then tell her you're sorry in 27 years when it turns out that the case was erroneous. Happens all the time. Why should you care? It's not you going to prison.
