Korean office tower evacuated after mysterious shaking

Authorities in Seoul, South Korea, ordered the evacuation of a 39-story office building Tuesday after occupants reported that it shook for about 10 minutes, local media reported.

There was no seismic activity reported at the time of the tremors, which began about 10:10 a.m., according to a report in The Korea Times.

"I fled the building with everyone else while it was shaking up and down. It almost made me feel dizzy," Lim Joon-hee, who works on the 20th floor of the building, told the Yonhap News Agency.

About 3,000 people were in the building at the time. All were evacuated, and the building, whose tenants include offices, retailers and a theater,  will remain closed for up to three days while it undergoes safety inspections, local media reported.

Yes. Such movements are signals of seismic activity or a major fracture in the foundation of the building causing other fractures and settling. They were smart to evacuate, and may not know for sure without load testing the building with greater weight then the bodies that were in there. Not sure what kind of ground is under and around the building?

I`m LOLing so hard at these comments. Ahaha @ Godzilla. And seriously, linking SIDS to plastique? How is that even possible? Are Illuminati operatives sneaking into nurseries & dropping teething rings made of C4 in babies' cribs? Or was your implication that the poisoning is from the plastique supposedly planted in the basements of apartment buildings or something along those lines? How would you explain SIDS happening in private residences, then? The government is mining our homes?

The building has been under a high amount of stress the last few years under a lot more pressure due to population increases. It's obvious that the building has become an alcoholic and is shaking uncontrollably... Pretty sad you guys poke fun at a serious issue...

It was built atop the treaty between North and South Korea. Needless to say... It's pretty shaky...

Probably the tunnel the North Koreans have been quietly building over the last few decades collapsed or filled with water – the border is only a few miles away.

OMG!! Directed EMR Space Weaponry is real !!
The North has a secret space weapon and where trying to "kidnap" everyone in the building by lifting it up and moving it to the north side of the DMZ.

I take great offense to your statement "fatties in the basement"! You should be ashamed of yourself. Why couldn't it be "fatties in the attic"?
