Police: Suspect in 7 Michigan slayings kills himself

A man who held several people hostage in Grand Rapids, Michigan, killed himself, Police Chief Kevin Belk said Thursday night.

The man, identified as Rodrick Dantzler, is suspected of killing seven people, including two children.

He ran into a home after a roughly 15-minute chase from the police and a standoff ensued, before he shot himself to death, police said.

Get real,Casey Anthony got lucky with a jury who wanted out of there so fast they didn't even look at any of the evidence while deliberating. It was July 4th vacation time and they were done. Now they're back peddling. They knew they'd be in a tv movie and book deals. They're getting free vacations to Disneyworld and paid interviews,as all these people will be rich off a murdered child.

And this thing that just killed 7 people has probably been in and out of the court system for years and got to walk everytime, now he's murdered seven people, two of which are children. They let guilty people go because people see them as victims, instead of the real victims. All they do is create more victims.

Get real. There was no evidence proving she killed Caylee. Everyone knows she is guilty but there was no cause of death, no DNA, no fingerprints, no eyewitnesses. There is no way to connect her with the death or burial. She got away with murder.

dont tell people not to break the law when you want them to break the law because they need to break the law in order for you to put them in jail and you do put people in jail meaning you do want people to break the law.

I am so glad this thug killed himself, but it's sad that he didn't kill himself before he inflicted the bloodshed. I am pretty sure the "whine of racism" kept him out of prison. Today it is wrong to put a "black man" in prison because "they" think it's racist. They are tired of seeing their relatives go to prison. Why? Because they're too many of them in there now, but their standards, of course. If every thug who belonged in prison were there right now, the population of blacks in this country not in prison would be below 1%. Sad, but true. And don't argue with the stats and facts!

that definitely made the top 10 list of stupidest things i've read up here.

Your assuming that African Americans are the only ones in the country who do wrong. You fail to see the obvious. It is everyone.

If every thief and criminal who deserved to be in jail, were in jail, most of our government is gone.

I am a 42 yr old black man, I have never committed a crime in my life. I am the last of 7 children, all of whom are Lawyers, Physicians, Engineers and MBA holders. Yoy are a racist and you have issues that you have to deal with in your own life. You should go join the Nazi party. You are extremely stupid

Actually they're more likely to put a black person in jail than a white person in most places.
I'm pretty sure that if weed was legal there would be a lot less black people in jail.

lol look at charles getting all butthurt. typical angry black man.
"omg u say dis about black peeplez u a racist, mastah! pirple drank grip n' sip!"

This isn't a Casey Anthony story. This is about a story that actually matters, You know, a MAJOR EVENT? Remember those, guys? Can we stop the bickering about the murder of one girl, that doesn't belong in this comment thread, and focus on the seven that just happened? Or has the whole country lost its patience for everything that doesn't involve cute white girls or something they can hate Obama for?

Good. Saves the tax payers from having to pay for a circus show of a trial and universal healthcare, gym membership, cable TV, and other luxuries the murderer would have received as a reward for his crimes.

The trouble is he should have killed himself BEFORE he murdered 7 people.
