At what point are we going stop with calling everyone a socialist and start raising tariffs. We need help, anything short of doing everything possible is treason.

I am so sick of commentators, reporters, and all media sources talking about how the "private" sector isn't confident enough to hire anyone....that is such BS...! What possible reason can they have for not hiring other than a political one...most of them are conservative-minded anyway...I have lived a few decades and it almost always seem to me that the "private" sector always seem hesitant to hire when a Democratic leader is in office! Let's stop the party politics and get America back on it's feet before it's too late!

Paul, those new tariffs will put 18000 shipping and dock workers out of work.

Our moron in chief has failed to address outsourcing. The Congress has failed to address outsourcing. They don't care because they are wealthy, and they got wealthy by helping companies maximize profits from overseas manufacturing that skirts environmental regulation, taxes, and that pesky minimum wage. Then they have the audacity to make it political or blame the American worker that can't pay his/her mortgage on $9 an hour. Oh yeah and gas has been around $4 a gallon, but that's your fault too for wanting to go to work or not be stuck home all the time.

Most of all Blah blah blah, those idiots on Capitol Hill failed to mention all these useless, expensive and unnecessary wars that we're fighting overseas, slaughtering people like pigs in a pen day after day!!!

Wow. We just had a nationwide census that clearly shows that we need to create over 100,000 jobs per mo. just to break-even and an 18K makes headlines. Fo figure. No. Really. Go figure population growth and how many jobs it takes to keep up with it. You won't even need a calculator if you passed 6th grade math.

@Blah Blah: I completely agree. How are people supposed to buy extras when the little money they are making is tied up in their housing, food and gas tank. The rich will reap what they sew. Eventually the economy will crumble and it will be open season on those that led us there.

@Ruffnutt: I challenge you to look at the tag on your clothing, or even the phone or computer.. Where were they made? The problem is that we don't make anything here and that's up to the congress to fix, otherwise we'd all be naked and we'd have to go back to pay phones. Tax the dung out of outsourcing companies and make it cost more to outsource.

@Ruff: That's my point. I'm tired of Walmart being the scapegoat, when they are the retailer, not the manufacturer. If people are gobbling up TVs, cell phones, and cheap chinese made hardwood flooring then they are going to put it on their shelves. The consumer cannot afford such goodies if they have no job that pays them enough to afford them. We should tax the bad companies that outsource and provide tax relief to those who take care of the home team. Consumers are trapped and cannot choose not to buy foreign. It is sad, but it changes in Washington not in the stores. Why can't the clothing designers that enjoy America's way of life have their products made here? It's not like they are selling Nikes at cheap prices anyways. They will still charge us top dollar either way.
