Ex-aide to British PM arrested in hacking scandal

Andy Coulson, the prime minister's former press secretary, was arrested Friday in connection with allegations of phone hacking and corruption in a case that promises to be a growing political liability for David Cameron.

The scandal has prompted questions over the British prime minister's judgment in hiring Coulson after he resigned as editor of the News of the World because of the allegations.

Speaking shortly before his former aide's arrest was announced, Cameron went on the defensive at a Downing Street news conference Friday, saying: "The decision to hire him was mine, and mine alone."

He said he gave Coulson a second chance after assurances that he was not involved in wrongdoing at the newspaper.

Why are all these people po'd at the jury. The prosecution is who screwed up. If they would've had more convincing evidence, the jury would have convicted her. No evidence, no conviction. I think she's guilty myself, but that's just my opinion. I didn't see any convincing proof presented either. It's not the jury's fault. They worked with the facts presented to them.

This story began over two years ago, but you probably just recently became aware. Here's the latest Rupert's man hacked into a missing girls cellphone and listened to her parents multiple messages...crying pleas for their little girl. Then the box got full, so the Rupert deleted some messages so the family could leave more! This got the family to thinking there was hope. That MAYBE she's alive!!! And sit down for this folks. The little girl was found dead. We need to form a civil militia and find our missing kids. I hope someone reads this who knows how to grass-roots this ir something?
