The Los Angeles County District Attorney charged two men Friday with mayhem and assault - both felonies - in the March 31 beating of a Santa Cruz paramedic in the parking lot outside Dodger Stadium.

The paramedic, Bryan Stow, remains hospitalized.

    After the game, the two men came up to him in the parking lot and - unprovoked - began kicking and punching him while yelling profanities about the Giants, police said.

    now, even if provoked , this man or any other human being doesn't deserve to be beaten into a comma. Just think if it were your child.

      ahh, wait just a minute now, your no better if you wish death upon some one else . I may not agree with Steve and am flabbergasted at why he would make such a statement but hopefully he will explain himself.

    I know, off topic, but someone mentioned it... Were does the TEA PARTy come into this? Although they are quite stubborn, you will thank them later when your not taxed to death to help feed Washington's addiction to spending...

    People always bring the two things you shouldn't discuss in public(Religion and Politics into every one of these articles I agree with frank on the notion of WTH does the tea party have to do with an assault

      Are you kidding everything is still being blamed on George W. Bush. I'm surprised he wasn't questioned for the assault of this poor man.

      You are so right. The need long prison terms. People have the right to choose what team they favor without being beating almost to death. Maybe they should deport them and never let them back into this country.

      You're an idiot. These men (and I use the term loosely) are not from India. They are of Hispanic descent and were quite possibly born in this country. I am neither Indian, nor Hispanic but these two jack asses do not represent the entire race. Get a life.

    Why didnt he have a gun? KelTec has some really small .380s out that will fit tight in your pants pocket. ParaORd even has a great .45 not about the size of a PPK. ItLL easily fit in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. Im definitly not a gun person but it is good for a lady to protect herself. If you arent either, a super good suprise to show your attackers is the spderco civilian knife.

      maybe some people don't like bringing guns everywhere? he wouldn't have been protected by his gun in this case anyway

    I'm from Memphis TENN and have seen near death beatings and shootings at different pro sport venues, so my question is this, What makes this incident in San Francisco so special that its been in the news for over a month? May I add that some of the victims I saw beat or shot, the attackers were never found and brought to justice, so again I ask, What is the difference between someone at a sports venue being beat half to death in San Fransico than the same thing happening in Memphis? I'll tell you. There is no difference.

      @Ramtough

      People do not care about what happens in backwards-ass states.

      Only states that are progressive in their laws and lifestyle deserve to be newsworthy. Who cares if a tree falls in Threetooth, Arkansas or Welovecigarrettes, West Virginia. Angry, defensive replies go here:

    I think it has made such big headlines because most fellas that live in San Francisco are lesbeans. Some are even gay lesbeans. Lesbean men rarely if ever commit acis of violence. If the 2 attackers are in fact lesbean or gay lesbean thiswould be a very unusual event. Plus guns are bad.
