Autopsy not conclusive on Amy Winehouse death

Investigators may not know what killed singer Amy Winehouse until they get results from lab tests on her blood and tissue, due in about two to four weeks, Scotland Yard said Monday.

An autopsy was completed at St. Pancras Mortuary Monday afternoon.

"It did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further toxicology tests," a police statement said. An inquest into her death was opened Monday, the statement said.

The singer, beloved for her talent but infamous for erratic public behavior, arrests and drug problems, was found dead at her apartment in London on Saturday.

    I am so mad that this great country of ours is going thru this!! I am a Indept. amd I am so angry with the G.O.P. To put us sr., who live from S.S. check to S.S. check- to put poor people and middle class people thru this Is not right. The tea party and the G.O.P. parties are not doing what is best for us. If the country defaults will congress still get paid. What about their perks? Why doest the President use the 14th admentment? I promise He will have all the poor and middleclass and others behind him. GOD bess the president to do what is best for the country and GOD BLESS our great country!!!

    I thought this was about amy winehouse? I heard amy had a dr appt just prior to her death and it went well. Also, her body guard said there were no drugs in her home. I wonder if we'll get to hear her autopsy report. Still never heard tox report from that guy from jack @ss show who crashed his car. Anybody know?

      Yeah, it showed that he was drunk! Blood alcohol level of 0.196% — more than twice the state's legal limit of 0.08%.

      I am a recovering addict and she could not have been saved. The disease of addiction is cunning. She needed to realize her bottom, get rid of people place and things and work a 12 step program with attending meetings to recover. She could not do that, however, why didnt her family get more involved and maybe intervene? She may be alive today

      ....There's no need for an autosy on someone if the cause of death is know...why waste money finding out how that person died if they already know.......

    @pffft...agree with you that our great country is falling. It's spiraling out of control. Historically: it's when you see the families disintegrating then the country will follow. As for Ms. Winehouse...she was somebody's child and they are deeply grieving. Lets have some respect people.
