Teen guilty of beheading at least 4 in Mexico

A 14-year-old born in the United States has been found guilty in a Mexican court of torturing and beheading at least four people and kidnapping three others.

The teenage hit man was sentenced to three years in a correctional facility, the maximum allowed under Mexican law. He also has to pay a 4.5 million Mexican peso fine ($387,500 U.S.).

The defendant, known as "El Ponchis" ("The Cloak") is a 14-year-old boy from San Diego. Because he is a minor, his trial in Cuernavaca, Mexico, was closed to the public.

He was captured near Mexico City in December. In an on-camera interrogation by Mexican military authorities, the youth admitted to brutally killing people - the victims all were beheaded. The video shows a military interrogator asking the slim teenager with curly hair several questions.

"How many have you killed?," he asks.

"Four," he responded calmly.

"How did you execute them?"

"I slit their throats."

A YouTube video that circulated last year purportedly showed the teenager beating a man with a two-by-four while the man was tied at the wrists and hanging from the ceiling, as other young people watched.

The teen was accused of of crimes related to drug trafficking - specifically cocaine and marijuana - illegal possession of military weapons, and violations against federal organized crime law "with the objective of committing kidnappings and aggravated murder," juvenile court spokesman Juan Carlos Castro said before the trial.

"El Ponchis" is not the only minor in Mexico allegedly involved with drug cartels. Social media pictures have surfaced in the last year showing teenagers and young men holding high-caliber assault weapons and wearing masks.

Six youths were captured last October in a town about 30 miles south of Mexico City. Graffiti in the house where they were hiding linked them to the so-called South Pacific Cartel, a splinter group that formed after cartel leader and drug lord Arturo Beltran Leyva was killed in a shootout with the Mexican military in December of 2009.

its funny how supposed 100% American thinks this country would function properly without the work "worthless mexicans" do... i PERSONALLY think he should be tried in the country he commit the murders in. I hope they dont extradite him. hE DESERVES WHATEVER TIME THEY GIVE HIM PLUS MORE. The only problem is when he gets out he will be much more vicious then when he went it..

extradition applies only when a national is accused by a foreign government of committing illegals deed in the foreign country, whose government asks for the individual to be extradite to them despite not being of the accuser's nationality. IN this case, this guy is American in Mexico. There is no extradition ... he is just going to be in jail in Mexico ... sop, what are you blabering about?

Sad to say but some wacko group will try to convince the world it's not his fault because he's only fourteen and push hard for rehab.

For me, if you can cold bloodedly slit people's throat, you need to be put to rest and may your soul find peace in another world.

There is one very well known fact. Hispanics or Mexicans fall under the WHITE race, just ask any County Clerk's or District Clerk's office. There is no such thing as a Hispanic race. If you are talking *ethnicity* then Hispanic would be proper. Otherwise, he is a White American in Mexico. But whatever his crimes, if committed in a foreign country, he needs to be tried by the rules of that country. At fourteen, he surely knew what he was doing. I just have to wonder if they had told him to go behead a member of his own family if he would have done it not knowing any better. I'll just bet he would have –Not.

So...he's an anchor baby. We (white Americans) make him feel unwelcomed his entire life. We make it hard for him to pursue higher education. We spend billions of dollars supporting governments with oil, while our next door neighbors are suffering immensely...and when he turns into a criminal we're all surprised? I'm confused.

We really need to take in all these foreigners. It's like our job as a world leader. We have all this food and stuff. And you really weren't going to eat all that anyways. And you weren't going to use that welfare.. or whatever.. Everything is fine. Relax. Chill. Don't be a hater. Have a nice day. Try yoga meditation.

I moved from San Diego recently after raising three kids. Hispanic anchor babies are not unwelcomed in San Diego. Most of these kids dress and act like all the other kids in San Diego and I had plenty in my home as guests of my kids. A few choose the excitement of belonging to a gang. It is an individual decision. The immigration problems do not excuse this type of criminal and inhumane behavior.

Yea big, bad America cause this youth to commit this crime. Get over it. You can't prevent this, no single person can only the Mexican people and our government can. We need to quit exporting guns in covert operations and they need to stand up to the corruption in their government. If these two objectives are met then we may see a decrease in violence, but remember who is the biggest customer...

Our next door neighbors are suffering because their own government cannot or will not end the systemic and societal greed and corruption that keeps them from cleaning up their own country and making it a good place to live. How is that my fault? I'm fed up with being scolded for the plight of the "poor Mexicans."

Susie, saying that Mexicans don't want to be here is just as ignorant as saying that they do. You cannot speak for an entire ethnic group, blanket statements like that are a large contributor to the ignorance of the world (not just America). I, a Colorado citizen, am a white man with dozens of Mexican friends (legal and illegal alike). Opinions on whether or not they want to be in the United States are split. Many of them embrace the States and realize the living conditions in Mexico are horrible in comparison. And others, well, they just want to be home.
Please don't make simple blanket statements, attempting to advocate that no Mexicans want to be in the United States because that is a fictional opinion – not fact. The issue has many shades of gray – as do most issues in the world.

    • Take Note

You lose sight of the fact that he is as much a White American as you are, as a matter of fact. There is no such thing as a Hispanic race. The *ethnicity* is Hispanic but his race and that goes for any Hispanic or Mexican would be White. That is the way it has always been. Those Mexicans with blond hair, blue eyes and very fair skin have more Spanish blood while the tanner Mexicans have more Indian influence. But either way, they are all members of the White race and that needs to be clarified once and for all.

I don't see a lot of gray down here Kenny. It is pretty obvious they don't want to be here. Want to know how I can tell? Because 90% (notice I didn't say ALL) of them behave like they are still in Mexico. What they want is Mexico but with the US economy, well what is left of it. This is the WRONG reason to come here. If you want to come to the US it should be because you love it here and want to join THIS country. Not just reap the benefits of others hard work, and pretend you are still in your home country.

This is how the interview should've gone:

"How many people have you killed?" he asks.

    "Four." he responded, calmly.

    "How did you execute them?"

"I slit their throats.. Wait.. What-" *gunshot*

Harym, you missed Saxena's entire argument. Saxena, I agree with you completely. It is nothing short of ignorant to group people into clusters and then judge them accordingly.
Harym, don't be so hot-headed and immediately shout out an immature comment just because you don't believe in what another has to say. Think about their comment, entertain it in your mind, and decide your view on it – don't badmouth them for having an opinion that is equally as valuable as your own.

All of this is possible because of America's ancient drug laws. Our government allows the DEA to continue wasting untold billions of dollars playing a fantasy game that creates monsters like this. The dead are the responsibility of cowardice in the American government. We need to find the courage to legalize all drugs and recover the responsibility as parents of our own children's upbringing. If you raise a weakling unable to recognize the dangers of drug use then you will deserve the results- a dead child. We should be tired by now of paying billions, and sacrificing so many lives, all so we can keep defectives alive. Let them overdose. It's cheaper.

Wow. You sound almost as fed up as I. I agree with you, legalize, regulate, tax, and educate. And parents, please, you made a choice to become parents, now step up and do the job right, else your children may (rightfully) be removed from the human gene pool. If you can't teach a child the concept of consequences, you shouldn't reproduce in the first place.
