What is a preliminary earthquake? Or more to the point, do any journalists know the English language?

The "preliminary" refers to the 6.4. It's not official yet (calibrations and data analysis has yet to be done before the magnitude becomes official). I think journalists know their English. I think the problem may lie with the readers.

Talk about unethical comments. Oh well, that's what happens when everybody in the entire world has the internet. Before, all the low life people with no respect didn't have a clue what the internet was. I wish it was still like that!

America has put ourselves in the predictament we're in! We keep handing out money to theese third world countries like we were giving out tickets to a simon and garfunkel concert! We need to stop acting like a bunch of BIG SHOTS and start taking care of ourselves! Then all theese third world countries wouldn't have SHHHHt to say about us, except please help us, we need your money! We're good when were giving it out but when we aren't then we're the bad guys! The silent majority has spoken! Fix our debt cieling and stop putting your own political reasons in front of the American people. The normal paid, disabled, and retired!

Two hands at work are worth ten thousand in prayer. Praying for people is an admission that you are too lazy to do anything about the plight of people. If god is going to help these people, then why did he allow the earthquake in the first place? Because he doesn't exist.
