Gotta Watch: Windshield worries

Driving can be dangerous, but it's not just distracted drivers or speeding-ticket dodgers that makes it so tricky. Sometimes road hazards can turn into near-death experiences. A piece of wood can become a dangerous projectile or a sneaky snake could ruin your summer travel plans. You've gotta watch how these windshield worries more than interrupted a few road trips.

Snake's surprise – Snakes must love modern transportation. They've slithered onto planes and stressed out Samuel L. Jackson and now, it appears they've taken a liking to automobiles. In this video a scaly serpent slides up a car's windshield as it cruises down the interstate. How would you have handled this scary situation?

Flying debris – A two-by-four unexpectedly flies through the windshield of a moving car. Luckily, no one was hurt. Get an inside view of the frightening event.

Now that's horse power – Imagine driving down a road when a horse literally runs over your car. The result is a compelling, if not shocking, video where the animal crushes the windshield and roof.

    PETA can go to Hell. They want the Driver to risk his wife, kids & his life by stopping the Car on the highway to rescue this Snake, which would have turn out dangerous. Thats the reasons why I pay no attention to PETA, too much big mouth without thinking. Bet they are more guilty than than any normal person when it come own to Animal cruelty or eating & wearing Meat.

      PETA is actually a great organization. They do a LOT more good than harm. I will continue to donate to them.

      Whats wrong in pulling over on the shoulder or rest area or take an exit & just let the poor thing move away in the woods? That snake probably became a road kill due to ignorance AND it "is" possible that it cud hav gotten INSIDE the car from some tiny hole, nobody thought of that?

    They seem to be unusually happy and driving considerably fast in the video. Best could have been to slow down and let the reptile go on its merry way. Could it have jumped/hit other vehicles and caused an accident? Not every driver will be so clam with snakes on windshields. Hope they are not another realty show/15 minute fame seeking family. Did anybody interview the kids.

      You could've won the bag of lemons Realist is munching on. I'll take the Budweiser and use the DVDs as coasters. Score.

      Oh, and somebody needs to get these MF'n snakes off this MF'n car.

      Jack@ss! (Must be a city boy) That looks like a ratsnake, totally harmless and very beneficial, named for their taste for rats (a much greater danger than snakes). Fact is most snakes are absolutely beneficial and absolutely no threat to man and even the ones that do pose a threat help keep rodent populations in check. If a venomous snake shows up in an area where it is a danger to people, by all means remove it or kill it, but out in the wild, just say "pass on brother" and let it be. All the rest are perfectly welcome on my property.

    Only two things snakes are good for...cowboy boots and whips. I cant stand the things but I think I may have pulled over and tried to get it off the car somehow?
    As for the horses the people driving along in the same direction as them should have really stopped also! They were freaked out and ran into the car probably because they couldn't cross the road.

      And helping to keep the rodent population controlled which contributes to a balanced ecosystem.... but that's no big deal.

      @Realist4200
      Especially when you realize that the snake on the windshield is a non-venomous rat snake.

    Something questionable about the snake story: they claim that the snake crawled out of the engine, but it's too fat to have fit through the vents. So where did it come from?

    "It never crossed our minds to pull over..."?? Why would it NOT cross your minds! Not that I care that much about the snake but the first thing I would do is pull over and hope it slithered off the hood. If it didn't? Not sure...keep going...call for backup...I wouldn't mess with the snake by myself!

    THESE PEOPLE DON'T PULL OVER BECAUSE THEY ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS!!!!!!! BREEDERS... THAT ARE ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR CHILDREN... RIGHT!!!!THAT'S WHY THEY ARE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE IN THE PASSING LANE GOING WHAT LOOKS TO BE 80 OR 100 MILES PER HOUR.
