Hugo Chávez stars in workout video

Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez has released a workout video to demonstrate that he is healthy enough for re-election.

Having recently returned from Cuba, where he received chemotherapy for an unspecified type of cancer, Chávez has told state-run media in Venezuela that he has no intention of dropping out of the running in next year's election. Chávez has been president since 1999.

In the video, Chávez adopts the dress and demeanor of a typical phys. ed. teacher. He leads members of his Cabinet in stretches, some calf raises and a brisk walk while denouncing cholesterol as a poison.

According to an article that was released Friday on Chávez's website, the video was originally aired by Venezolana de Television, Venezuela's state-run television channel.

Speaking of his chemotherapy in July to VTV, Chávez said, "It was hard, but my soldier's body was able to withstand the small discomforts of this difficult treatment."

Ah yes...let us take a REAL look at the "socialist paradise" of Hugo Chavez: One of the highest crime rates in the world. (20,000 murders last year, almost all unsolved...aND JUST TRY WEARING JEWELRY ON THE STREETS!!!)) Streets filled with garbage. Constant blackouts due to lack of maintenance and lack of investment in the infrastructure. NDRINKABLE WATER (WHEN YOU CAN GET IT...IN SOME AREAS ONLY ONCE A WEEK!!!) Roads cracked and potholed, bridges falling down...same reasons. Almost universal corruption and bribery. No...repeat NO postal system at all... A 30% inflation rate. ..State "universities" handing out worthless diplomas with no entrance requirements or grades necessary. "Free" clinics manned by incompetent Cuban "doctors" indentured to the government. All TV, radio and other media censored and controlled by the State. ..Drug trafficking rampant, and government support for FARC and ETA terrorists...YUP, TRULY A PARADISE. That is why so many decent, educated, honest people are trying to get the hell out.

Here are my sources: My friends C, C, C-L, JC, E, E, and E. All of these people are my very close friends/coworkers and all of them were born (with the exception of one whom was only raised) in Venezuela. All of these people are very well educated (several carry engineering degrees) and speak fluent English. They all live in the United States now and are currently arranging visas for the family members that are able to move. With the exception to the comment about the Universities, all of the above is true according to several years worth of criticisms about their own government and state of their country. Late last year TIME magazine even put out an article on the Venezuelan "brain drain". However, none of those friends would say that America is anywhere near being on the path that Chavez has chosen for Venezuela.

Could you send us some links to the wonderful strong leaders and infallible solutions that those who are not supporters of Chavez have? Maybe Sara has some besides negative propaganda?

Wonder if Sean Penn produced this propaganda. Reminds me of the Chinese communists exercising in masses in their propaganda movies.

The only workout video I want to see Chavez in is the Peter Fonda Workout. Just lie there and let your eyes roll back.

I would never say anything as stupid as "Tea Party Lingo". That's your trademark, and that's how you're caught every time.

Since you remember my posts, try and remember the ones where I repeatedly asked you to stop stealing my name.
