NFL players ratify new labor deal

NFL players on Thursday ratified a 10-year collective bargaining agreement, officially ending the labor dispute that had threatened to delay the start of the 2011 season, the league said.

Most of the deal was agreed last week, when the NFL owners ended a 4½-month lockout and allowed most players to return to work and sign contracts. But some details needed to be ironed out, and teams' new signees couldn't practice until those details were settled and the final deal ratified.

"Congrats to our players & teams and thank you fans for your patience. The NFL will be better than ever," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell posted on Twitter Thursday evening.

The season's first regular season game is scheduled for September 8, when the Green Bay Packers host the New Orleans Saints. All preseason games are intact except for the Hall of Fame Game, which was supposed to be played this Sunday but was canceled because last week's agreement came too late.

Some new signees joined their new teams' practices as they were in progress Thursday afternoon, after the deal had been ratified. The Detroit Lions' new players began participating only 10 minutes after practice for the rest of the team began, according to the Lions' website. The Cleveland Browns, wary of having the new players jump in before the ratification was announced, took the new players' helmets away until the word came down, coach Pat Shurmur told reporters, according to the Browns' website.

"That kept them from jumping in there without us seeing it," Shurmur said.

The NFL's office said it learned of the ratification at 4:54 p.m. ET, league spokesman Greg Aiello posted on Twitter. reported that Goodell and NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith will sign the new agreement on Friday morning at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

They already have their money. They want more, and as long as budweiser and hundreds of other sponsors want to pay, they'll get it.

Don't worry about football – they don't need the government.

on top of it push it, how much more in control or bigger pusher u wanna be than the next gd, look at it this way tehy've been killing you, humanity and ur why they dont look at killing u as killing u, if because by breath stuff like that ur measuring less significant part of me ur wrong, like a person dying or died.. thats still u dying since its system your limbs are closer to u thats why u dont view it like killing you.... you're measuring those things because of them because they wouldnt be here and u gotta take some losses etc for them, so this way or thing is less harsh than other but all 1. can look at it that way.. their dealin u cards like god or something, there in your the cards dealt to me, so if one was delt and u died because of it , all those instances are on them. so whether it food, person wouldnt have ate it if it werent for these people but did becasue of these ppl so those ppl are responsible, same with accidentand ppl before were in same position too, now stuff like poisoning n stuff its the person who did it plus these ppl im talkin wouldnt have happened before that person decided too and the system thing, it would be impossible to do it if it werent for the law. accident person wouldnt been there if it werent for these ppl than wouldnt have got into accident if it werent for these ppl, also why the other evil stuff goes on that ppl do because again their in the system using it to do thsoe things and would not have if it werent for which doesnt change that they did it though. still its them and the law who did it, any time u have ppl got somethin goin where their actually dictating in whatever way stuff like where ur at and doing, than we know its them plus the persons not even what was used before but to get there etc.. meaning overall it wouldnt have happened if it were not for law and those ppl, deeper though or more into it these law ppl are the 'idea' because the others before that did this same scenerio, them and the law did it. for all those other things too, the idea cause u wouldnt have the idea if it werent for me , cuz u wouldnt have done it. so being the law u get urself intoa predict where, i didnt want u too but ultimately u wouldnte even do it if it werent for me , but both those and the law have in common its you who did it to yourself. in the scenerio where the poisnoning.. the role of law is i dont want u to but u could if it werent for me, so that means im just as responsible as you. the law. than one day you realize there was nothing there but they know how to keep hush cuz of me, so robbery, any crime... i didnt want u to but you couldnt even do it if it werent for me, that shows the power stuff, see there is a little more to it because we wouldnt win with their u they wouldnt be there without u either, since no people=cant do it, its i think the way they were there because of the law. cuz see in both instances ur not there when they did it. you contributing air and stuff means u placed me there too cuz ur one of them
