London police say rioters fired at them

A vigil in London held Saturday to honor a man killed by London police turned from peaceful to violent. Rioters threw gas bombs and projectiles at law enforcement, according to the city's Metropolitan Police. Forty-eight people were arrested, officials said on Sunday.

The police are investigating the uprising.

The man whose vigil was taking place was Mark Duggan. He was killed while riding in a cab on Thursday. Police stopped the cab in an attempted arrest, and shots were fired, the Independent Police Complaints Commission said.

    Dissed Yada? Who have I dissed. The dirty mexicans come here and drain our resources. Then everyone is up in arms about the deficit. The arabs have so much hatred directed at us that it is pathetic. Maybe you are as blind as most americans. If so that's a national problem. Your way of thinking is bringing down this country.     Don't panic Londoners, here in the U.S. this is called an "early Christmas". What these animals do is hijack a small peaceful demonstration in a b lack neighborhood and turn it into a looting, shooting and burning party. Stay calm, as soon as they all have a new flat screen and i-phone they'll go back to sellin drugs on the corner!!

    HEY HELEN...Tried to type you an intricate, intellegent response and it got lost in cyberspace...so I'll just say this: I understand and sympathise with your fustration regarding illegals coming here and taking advantage. I just don't believe in judging a whole race of people because SOME are insinsere. GOOD and BAD in ALL walks of life. You have the choice to hate if you want but HATE is what festers war.
