Hackers target San Francisco's rapid transit system

Members of a well-known hacking group - according to a statement and Twitter messages - took credit Sunday for an online attack targeting San Francisco's embattled transit system.

This is in response to the system's decision to cut off cellphone signals at "select" subway stations in response to a planned protest last week.

On Sunday afternoon, a link off BART's website to apparently had been hacked. It showed a page featuring, among other items, the Anonymous logo - a smirking mask above two crossed swords, all on a black background.

I hope that the city government is as prepared to deal with this hacking as it was with the protesters.
I don't think this is the end of fun and street games.

It looks as though the citizens of the world are restless! These kinds of occurences have been happening more & more lately! Hardly a week goes by without a report of "civil unrest" happening somewhere! For most of the year the incidents have been relegated to China, Far & Mid East nations, but now the UK & the US are getting riled up! I don't know what the deal is, but seems like "change" is on the horizon!!

Yeh man there was some real change in Philly the other day.

This lady on a bus didn't like someone critiquing her, so she called the gang on her celly and they met her at her stop.

Then pulled out auto rifles and proceeeded to shoot the bus up. And then run away, of course, being the big, bad, brave guys they all are shooting at innocent people. That's a hard days work. Real noble ( snark ).

Anonymous, how about you just go get all that bank money and then dump in to the accounts of the public. Make them wealthy overnight? Cause, you know, with all your power...posting Guy Fawkes-as-pirate-black-hat dude on their site is really just...lame. I miss LulzSec. They had at least had a sese of humor. You guys are getting a little dour, like moody old men.

Besides, don't you have some spying to do?

Although we have different–actually, opposed–POVs on this matter, Tanya just said what I've said many times here.

Indeed change is in the air there will be more of these isolated riots for unrelated reasons, but soon through a process of assimilation will be developing in other states and marge to shock it all. People are fat up with the subordination and policing of our freedom and rights and way of life. and fat up of the poverty our Govenment has created for each American family. Americans citizen ls are the most armed nation in thr world and can overtake the powers of the covernmeht any day if the chouse to.

Good grief Humber, you must be a fan of Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann. Such right-wing mumbo-jumbo. Evidently, you must be a proponent of the right-wing thugs in Washington who support the obscene war as well as a desire to curtail our First Amendment rights. Such way of thinking has got to go. It's as simple as that.

What gets my goat, banasy is how Humber spews his right-wing tea party lingo to insight a riot and give the right-wing thugs in Washington reason to become more to the right and take away many of our rights. This joker Humber is a trouble maker. It's as simple as that.
