Gotta Watch: Location, location, location

Money Magazine has released its 2011 list of America's 100 best places to live. In today's Gotta Watch, we're checking the map and looking at a few other cities you may - or may not - want to consider.

Buford, Wyoming's party of one - Whether it's about winning debates at town meetings, the length of his commute or how long it would take to meet the entire population, Don Sammons knows all the jokes. And he should. He's the sole resident of Wyoming's oldest town.

Lynwood, Washington's men in tights -  If safety is at the top of your list, you may want to consider Lynwood, Washington. The city's police force gets a little extra help from a merry band of crime fighters.

Jacksonville, Florida's pet peeve - If you want a city that supports all forms of creative expression, even when it involves the family pet, you may want to drive on past Jacksonville, Florida. Just ask this woman, who was busted for painting her pooch.

Why are these the "various sphincters of the U.S"? They seem like nice folks just going through life. My guess is that the main one is where you live.

There are only 2 things I need to know about Ham. 1) His children committed a LOT of incest. 2) It tastes good.

      Exactly!

Which in turn, implies: In intarsia, there are large blocks of single colors, that make an abstract or representative picture. It is not practical to carry the yarn across the back of large areas without using it, so a separate small ball or bobbin of yarn is used for each area of a color across the row.

How about Centralia, Pennsylvania? This town has had a series of video games and a movie (Silent Hill) based on it because it's had an underground mine fire burning since 1962!

You might want to recheck your facts. Only the film was based on that location. The game's location is completely ambiguous.

I don't know about a Lynwood, WA, but there IS a Lynnwood, WA. I used to live there, and it's actually a pretty nice place. The author of this article should check his sources.

I can beat Buford. There is a town in North Florida called Eddy where no one lives. I mean not a single person, house or shack. I know this because I worked at Eddy Fire Tower for about 9 years, and it was two miles from Eddy. People would sometimes ask where this town was, and I would have to explain they just drove right through it. An old-timer who use to work at the tower explained to me that Eddy use to be a real town, but when they put the Interstate in back in the 1950's, it just shifted the county population south away from Eddy, which was in the very north of the county. For some reason Eddy is still on a lot of maps.

Yet another example of runaway legislation meant to harm nobody but regular people who haven't done anything wrong. Behavioral laws do not become us.

The dye is marketed directly to dog owners, is intended to be safe and non-toxic, and did the site tell people in the states with laws that it was against the law? Probably not. This woman should have gotten a warning at most.

As for the law itself, its silly to punish good owners for stupid things like this. How about we actually put REAL abusers in jail? Its almost impossible to put them away for starving animals to death, beating animals into a pulp, tossing puppies off bridges and cliffs or into rivers. These people get a slap on the hand at best.

i use to put my cat in the washing machinse and put it on spin cycle..
    .
the cat would get so dizzy that it would take 5 minutes before it could walk again..
    .
before you say it was cruel, we had an open door policy at my trailer, the cat was free to go at any time... if the cat didn't like it he could walk away.. he musta liked it cause he stuck around..
    .
one time i put it on rinse and the cat went real fast and was getting squirted by water at the same time...
