World leaders, Obama call on Syrian president to step down

[Updated at 10:10 a.m.] U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday the United States "will take steps to mitigate any unintended effects of the (new) sanctions on the Syrian people."

Clinton also said the United States expects that other countries "will amplify the steps we are taking."

[Posted at 10:05 a.m.] The leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom joined U.S. President Barack Obama Thursday in calling on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down.

"Our three countries believe that President Assad, who is resorting to brutal military force against his own people and who is responsible for the situation, has lost all legitimacy and can no longer claim to lead the country," British Prime Minister David Cameron, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a statement.

"We call on him to face the reality of the complete rejection of his regime by the Syrian people and to step aside in the best interests of Syria and the unity of its people."

More is happening here than we know or are supposed to know.
    The outcome is inevitable.

Even his jumble can be traced to Arab-African slave masters who made-up less than .001 percent of the African population back when exported slaves were worth more than bribes for oil amd diamonds. Whodda thunk?

Today, CNN's headlines are funnier than David Letterman. Asking Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down is like asking Queen Elizabeth II to give up her throne !! It'll never happen, and can only lead us into another NATO-led invasion. If the USA should get involved, there is potential for a bloodbath as Syria's # 1 ally, Iran, would undoubtedly support their friends in the region, almost the way the Soviet Union supported Vietnam in the 1960's / early 1970's.

President al-Assad has obviously outlived his usefullness to the world leaders, so now we treat him like the rest of the dictators we installed. He is no longer able to control his people, so it is time for us to find out exactly what the people want and install another leader accordingly.

Sorry folks,I didn't post the above. Some joker is trying to make a fool out of me. The right-wing thugs are once again working behind the scenes to remove Assad from power. This will enable them to make Syria a puppet regime of the United States for further influence and world domination. And all the while, the obscene war in the Middle East continues to kill innocent people. This makes me so angry! Those thugs have to go. It's as simple as that!

I'll tell you what gets my goat Joey and Pink Panther. The right-wing thugs in Washington are on the one hand, supporting an illegal war that kills people everyday. Yet,on the other hand, they ask for Assad the step down. This is so unacceptable that it makes me sick!
