Charges dropped in Dominique Strauss-Kahn case

A New York judge dismissed sexual assault charges against former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss Kahn at the prosecutor's request Tuesday.

But Judge Michael Obus delayed implementing his order to give attorneys for Strauss-Khan's accuser time to appeal his denial of a request for a special prosecutor in the case.

A grand jury indicted Strauss-Kahn in May over allegations he sexually assaulted hotel housekeeper Nafissatou Diallo in his New York hotel suite.

In July, prosecutors began to back off the case, asking Obus to release Strauss-Kahn from house arrest after information surfaced that they said called Diallo's credibility into question.

    What a teerible decision. What monay and power can do. I cannot believe this outcome unless the lady is paid off. I thought in my civilized country women were protected. Yes they are ... But only against their own social groups. The high-ups can do whatever they want with everybody. Shame on you America. Shame shame shame

    please bring you hand first to your hat en slowly down to your judgement, so that we will not again be witnessed with such a tricky case; why has the past of mr Strauss Kahn detected and he was accused of such dirt while the past of the maid was not traced in an early stage; shame that the american systems works so low esteemed; all the best with your future.
