Bomb blast rocks U.N. building in Nigeria

The U.N. building was bombed Friday in the central area of the Nigerian capital, Abuja, a U.N. official told CNN. A journalist at the scene reported that at least seven people had been killed in the blast.

Bomb squad officers and other security teams are headed to the scene, deputy police spokesman Yemi Ajayi said.

Alessandra Vellucci at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland confirmed that the "U.N. premises in Abuja have been bombed" but was unable to give more details.

It is a shame that Nigeria has turned to become what it is today. The security aparatus is a shame bcos they take bribe from this hoodlums, the Nigeria police nad custom can comfortably excort the bomber to the UN building without interference. Mr President is weak in his decision taking, he is incapable of leading, he should therefore resign, Mr President should call it quit from office.

We are good and loving people, the problem with our country is the political will. Ibrahim Gambari was preaching this kind of hatred months back, instead of becoming a good statesman, he was busy preaching an Islamic agenda that has made us even worse. Somebody should start holding this people responsible.

To Sahara....what on earth are you saying...??? Ibrahim Gambari has never preached to anyone, anywhere about hate or hatred so you have clearly been misinformed and should retract you last statement....Gambari is a national treasure of Nigeria and the world.....and his work to date proves this time and time again....and his role in leading the UN-AU Peacekeeping operation in Darfur proves this great statesman efforts once again to bring peace to this world. You should rethink you misguided statement here now and try to give an intelligent response instead of the non-sense that you wrote above....

The bombing is a result of the injustices that have been done to the people several year back. Hmmm.

It is not sound well at this time that the country is facing with a lot of security problems in babyhood democratic administration. But there is a way out!
There is a way out to unleash the secret of Islamic set i.e. Boro Haram who has been treating the National secret over all these days. I have a better strategy to curb and capture this terrorist group unaware.
My Format Security System (FSS) will save Nigeria Government from this mess and protect the security of the Nation against from other attacks. Nigerian government do not need a foreign security to checkmate this treat because they will unfold security to their nation and this will help the situation on ground but the FSS, I believe our nation can be saved from this present predicament.
I will like to save my country, Nigeria from this secret mess which has been our Government challenge. I have a better strategy to help the government of Nigeria with if they are willing to listen and adopt my System which I called Format Security System (FSS) to tackle this problem. Further discussion on this matter, I can be reached on 08133024243 or 08073554230.

The muslims in Nigeria dreams of a separate state if they cannot get their religious rights in a modern Nigeria and this will happen if Nigerians get involved in corruption and betrayal of the country. Boko Haram will win the game of this chess set.

What Nigeria need now is division. As far as the islamic religion is concerned, there can never be a 'one nigeria'. The islamic fundamentalists derive joy from killing people especially the christians. Nigeria's socio-economic crisis have always erupted from religious fanaticism. De-amalgamation is the solution.
