It's sad that Huntsman-who is clearly the most qualified, pragmatic and able of the GOP contenders-will likely lose the primary due to the fact that primaries are all about the base, and the base of any party tends reward hardline ideologues rather than those can actually function and succeed as president for the good of the nation.
