Taliban abducted young people, officials believe

Authorities in Pakistan's tribal region believe the Taliban have abducted around 30 young people on an outing there.

Islam Zeb, a senior administrator in Bajaur Agency, told CNN on Friday the people were between the ages of 10 and 20 and elders were meeting to discuss the recovery of the children.

Zeb said the youth were walking to a picnic spot along a river to mark the end of the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.

HEADLINE should read: "A mericans abducted young people, officials KNOW", because according to the FBI's website, 2,000 American children go missing EVERY SINGLE DAY in the USA., and that only 3/4ths are ever found, and that only about 100 per year are found dead. That leaves 500 children per day unaccounted for. Who has these kids? What are they doing with them? And why is this fact NOT shown over and over again in the news? And why doesn't anyone want to talk about it.

What in the world do they want with young people? Young kids today are just a bunch of hippies.

  5. @fred

We're talking about missing children...there is no humor to be found here.

I disagree. Humor should be found in everything. In Vietnam we saw all kinds of things. The best thing to do is turn it into a joke. Plus I agree with Fred. They were probably hippys that listen to nirvana music. Dang long haired hippys.

I'd jump at the chance to punch a child stalker in the gut. People who make fun of missing children? Ain't hardly worth spitting on once they get knocked-out. But I would. I surely would.

@gung hoe...yes, we've needed to form State Militia's bent on finding these deranged humans for decades, but Uncle Sam won't allow it. There are thousands and thousands of them. And that's just the ones we have registered as offenders. Americans just do not take this problem seriously enough to demand something be done...many even think it's funny, until it's their own kid.

Why would that even surprise anyone ? They steal the youth to indoctrinate them into the way of the taliban and turn them into killers. This has always been an S.O.P. In viet nam this was a common practice among the viet cong. All the way through history, "conscription" has always been a means to replace your fallen fighters.
