Gotta Watch: They quit! (A Labor Day special)

It's Labor Day, a day that honors all the contributions workers make to the well-being of the United States.  For many of you, Labor Day is a work-free holiday.  So, while you're out enjoying your barbecues and last days of Summer, we thought we would bring back some videos that highlight some less than exemplary members of the workforce.

Curse-and-slide technique - It's almost impossible to forget the infamous JetBlue flight attendant who gained notoriety in 2010 for his ability to quit in truly spectacular fashion.  Forget giving two-week notice. This guy cursed out a customer, grabbed a beer and slid down the emergency chute.

'Everybody wants to be a princess' - Apparently a job really wasn't too important for this Kansas City woman when she decided she's rather attend a wedding than get a consistent paycheck.

Luck was on his side - Some of you would have thrown in the towel if your boss wouldn't give you a day off for a prior engagement. Well, one Michigan man did and it really paid off.

    His claim to fame to throwing a temper-tantrum and acting like an **s. His mother must be proud.

      I think that person who cussed the flight attendant was an a**. I have never cussed any worker of any industry because I know working sux. YOU may be married to your work but there are many of us who aren't. Many people in the service industry do not enjoy their jobs and are often treated badly by customers just because the customer may not feel well or because they had a bad day. I've seen how much flight attendants make and I would have to really love to travel ( and not be able to pay basic bills like rent or electricity) just to take that job.

    @leeintulsa; Don't be fooled the rebellions in the middle east isn't about freedom it's about religious fanatics trying to get into power.

      @larry: I disagree.

      But, still, religious psychos are just another option. Whatever they choose, i hope they keep the right *to* choose. Suppose it's up to them..

      If the party that gets into power abolishes democracy, then it's not really democracy, is it?

      You need to think things through, buddy.

      We have plenty of religious fundamentalists in American politics. Look at the Republican candidates and how they have to pander to religious zealots to win their primary. It's ironic and sad that the Republicans almost certainly will nominate someone who the right wing wackos love but has no chance in hell of winning in November 2012.

      I wish the Republicans would root out the religious nuts in their party - until they do I won't be voting that way (and I'd like to - Obama is not a good president).

    Of course he got a suspended sentence, about a year and a half of probation, must attend counseling and AA meetings and pay a fine. So he didn't walk free from all of this.

    That flight attendant was physically and verbally assaulted by that passenger. You seem to have left that out of the story.

    angelrose2001 on September 4, 2011 I love the bibs and the option for the EVA vinyl irsent. I am always looking for bibs that will keep my son's clothes dry! My son has acid reflux and is still spitting up at almost 2 years old. These bibs also look really comfy!
