I'm seeing a lot of conflicting reports that the depth was either 25km or 80km (15mi or 50mi). The greater depth would certainly explain why we felt nothing here in Victoria.

Spokane WA reported shaking. Not sure if there were other reports in WA State yet? Was stated to be slight. Might just be a slight ripple effect. We have earthquakes all the time just rarely feel them. A large earthquake is our biggest fear in Eastern WA. Of course we all know the drill. Get far far away from the area.

I'm in a penthouse in North Vancouver. Was just sitting down at the deck when I felt the quake. I thought my chair was about to give so I stood up, only to realize the building was moving not just my chair. I could tell the people on the ground couldn't feel a thing.

Not to sound like that idiot, Sarah Palin, but I can see Vancouver from my house and we didn't feel a thing here.

Nothing to see here, move along.

If were blaming politicians, than its Joe Oliver's M.P. for Eglinton—Lawrence fault. He's the Minister in charge of Natural Resources Canada and if his department hadn't of installed all that earthquake monitoring equipment than there wouldn't be earthquakes to monitor. >_>

Hilarious!! I'll take even a bigger quake over a bloody blizzard. No, actually this was due to the now enlarged gay pride parade in Vancouver. I actually expect a third event, as this is the second one in a week.
