Gotta Watch: The end of 'Kate Plus 8'

TLC's "Kate Plus 8" may not have been as epic as, say, "M*A*S*H" or "Seinfeld," but we certainly won't forget it. The six-year-old series, which was called "Jon and Kate Plus 8" until Kate Gosselin and her husband divorced and he was fired from the show, came to an end Monday night. Today, Gotta Watch looks back at Kate's advice to "Octomom" Nadia Suleman, the Gosselin's ugly custody war and Kate's short-lived stint on "Dancing With the Stars."

Advice to 'Octomom' - If you mention Kate Gosselin and Nadia Suleman in the same sentence nowadays, it may seem like a setup to a joke. But, not so long ago, we actually asked Gosselin what advice she'd give the so-called "Octomom" when Suleman's kids were born.

Kate's dancing shoes - Kate's appearance on "Dancing With the Stars" fired up fans and critics alike, but it also stoked the 4-alarm inferno that was her custody battle with ex-husband, Jon.

He said, she said - We had a ringside seat to some of the lowest lows in Jon and Kate's shattered relationship. Here, Jon reads a private email from Kate on camera and Kate cuts short Jon's visit with the kids on their birthday.

I haven't watched cable television in ten years. Shows like this are why.

Shows like Burn Notice, Psych, and White Collar are the reason you should start again. Just avoid anything described in any way as "reality"- those are the ones that are COMPLETE fiction 😉

  2. Glad its over.

I don't understand why this show was even was on the air. It's a waste of time to watch yet another family mom play with her kids. They not even celebrates just people with a massive amount of kids. There was no point to this so call "good show" if that's what people want, to waste there time doing, watching kids, they should just have some. Look Octomom took the initiative haha. I'm glad the show is over but I wish them the best of luck in the future.

Thank goodness that this dumb show is off the air. Hopefully now Kate will be a responsible Mom and put herself and her kids into some kind of therapy to fix that dysfunctional family.

Buh-bye Kate, your 15 minutes are finally up.

All the plastic surgery in the world won't get you another show. But don't let that keep you off the casting couch.

@glad it's over. Couldn't of said it better. What show are you referring too?

Clearly that wasn't a show it may be a continuation of the Springer side of entertainment but, I'd never call it a show. Never watched, never cared it was on, and only sad that enough people supported it that long. Until, everyone wakes up and says we can stop this and let the networks and cable people know they will keep producing this poor excuse for not having to pay writers and talented people to entertain us.

  13. I give up

I felt compelled to read the article....Unfortunately, the show is a realistic parody and superficial reflection of our society that we all live in day to day……The pure lack of responsibility, the "now" factor, and worst of all, the decline of the family nucleus all tied into one……if people would stop supporting these “reality” shows; the Kate + 8 type of genre would disappear…but in the reality that we live in, this will not occur……Get ready people, this women will be on TV screens for the next 10 year spewing her insanity to the masses….e.g. Kardashians, Bachelor Pad, Biggest Loser….

I've never seen this show nor am I interested, but it is amazing that I know who this disaster and irresponsible parent is. For the kids' sake, get social services involved and end this disaster for those poor children.

Gotta watch?.. BS... like gotta rubber neck to see a horrible car wreck. This woman is SUCH a self centered b that it isn't even funny or entertaining. That clip CNN had last week about the pizza showed just what a low life piece of worthless human garbage she really is. I hope someone besides this wench raises those kids.
