    Hi, gung hoe.
Actually, the pilgrims are the ones who came here to escape religious persecution in England under King James I, in 1620, well before our founding fathers founded this country.
Ironically, it is King James I who commissioned the KJV of the Bible.
So, @TLC may actually be on to something...

@gung hoe: actually it was the Mayflower that came here to escape religious persecution not the founding fathers, they were already here and many including George Washington were in the British army. Thomas Jefferson was a well known atheist and most of the others belonged to the free masons which tends to point to them also being open minded to other beliefs.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the ones quoting the Bible and calling for Jesus' imminent return are at the same time incapable of spelling words correctly or completing a sentence. Then again, those who are properly educated should, in theory, know better than to believe in fairy tales...

@ ckelly116 I have seen many posts by athiest that cannot spell their way out of a paper bag. In fact, let me include agnostics as well. You can blame our public school system for dropping phonics. You need to get off your self-imposed high horse, get your EGO in check and stop the snide remarks! Your post shows your intolerance and IGNORANCE!

Learn to use the caps button correctly people. Capitalizing every letter isn't the "in" thing nowadays. It's also extremely annoying.

According to this report, the Pacific Tsunami Warning System decided that "a destructive tsunami was not generated based on EARTHQUAKE and HISTORICAL DATA. The freaking Farmers Almanac had earthquake and historical data. It seems they use the Almanac to figure out if a destructive tsunami occured. (i wonder how many out of the 100 comments noted this snafu. brb I'll count)

Nope! Not even one of you noticed that wether or not a destructive tsunami occured is based, bot on actual real-time measurements, but on "earthquake and historical data". You were all in such a hurry to get at each others throats, you didn't even read/understand how rediculous this story is. Typical modern Americans. So sure that what is reported is truth, you don't even bother to try understanding it...let alone cross-checking and investigating for yourselfs. No wonder "dey terk are jarbs".
