Attacker kills 26 in Pakistan

A suicide bomber killed 26 people and injured 63 others during a funeral procession in northwestern Pakistan Thursday, a senior police official told CNN.

Saleem Murrawat, the police chief of the Lower Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said the ceremony was for a member of a pro-government anti-Taliban militia in the area of Jandol.

The chief said a suicide bomber blew himself up when he was standing with people at the procession. There are usually no security checks in such ceremonies. The chief said the bomber was around age 18.

Leaders/People who are allying with the fight against extremist groups like Taliban get killed by suicide bombers. Even government agencies/navy can't protect themselves by these heavily armed/trained Taliban factions. Over 99.9% people hate Taliban and their ill agenda.
Drone attacks are not helping either. When innocent people get killed by them, their family turn in favor of Extremists.

What is the solution, to eleviate the killings? Did the Taliban kill before US involvement? Are the Pakistani people an armed society? Can the people of Pakistan fight the Taliban themselves?

What the Pakistanis need to do is to seek a negotiated settlement with the Taliban and stop going after them at the behest of the right-wing thugs in Washington. First of all, they need to rid themselves of this Zardari who is in Washington's pockets and quit lisening to Hilary Clinton who has no feelings for their losses!

Since Bush's "Either you are with us or against us" ... Pakistan have lost estimated 35000 people inthe fight against Taliban. yet there is no mention of it in usa/western media at the 10th anniversary. Before 9/11 there were no suicide bombing .... When there is no US Presence in the region, Taliban will have no excuse to kill innocent people.

The thing that's hard to understand is, why are al qaeda and the taliban consistently going after the civilians ? The military is what is causing their casualties, and they retaliate against the common people. That is one really screwed up policy.

    Good morning banasy.
