Supreme Court delays Texas man's execution

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday granted a stay of execution for Cleve Foster, who was set to die in Texas later in the evening for a 2002 murder.

It is the third time this year that Foster received a last-minute stay.

The Supreme Court's decision gives Foster's lawyers more time to file further appeals.

Foster is a Gulf War veteran convicted along with another man of the 2002 murder of Nyanuer "Mary" Pal, a Sudanese immigrant he met at a Fort Worth bar.

This is absurb. He murdered a person and should pay the price as decided by a jury of his peers. Is this STAY decided by the government. It is outrageous. Is this because he is dark and dark people are allowed to get away with murder. Is he related to Obama or some other political figure?. What is the problem with the justice system? He has no earthly purpose on earth. Let him die.

In neda's defense I think she has this confused with the Georgia man who also is trying to get a stay of execution. Other then that I think she is racist.

To: cathryn, Calvin Smith and Name*Happy, I think you all are racist but not as much racist as the darkskinned people neda was talking about.

      Hi OldCactus,

No, I'm not even close to being that shallow. I've always loved all people regardless of race. I just thought the idiocy was hilarious. By the way, I'm African-American and Indian, also have many bi-racial cousins and some of my best friends and girlfriends have been 100% different than me. Have a great day, OldCactus! P.S. You should use your real name. Alias always look cowardly to me.

Uh, chrissy, you do realize that the Book of Daniel was written over 2500 years ago, don't you? That is far too long to be called "soon". Even if you claim that Daniel got the message from the G-man, it would be in terms that Daniel would understand, so "soon" needs to be in humans terms. In short, that is just one more of the many examples where bible got it wrong. Don't be too upset, some of the historical aspects of the Captain America comics were wrong, too.

and maybe we should just pull our troops back and slap on a set of bdu's on the convicted murderers and send their butts over to those countries and save us all alot of money all the way around. also save the lives of innocent soldiers!

Ah yes....but then if they are cheerfully able to willingly kill their own countryfolk, what might they do to innocent non combatants in a warzone?
You would then truly be able to call soldiers murderers....by the way, I am an ex-soldier.
      Would be a PR disaster.

All the rest of the inmates in the asylum with you. It is pathetic how many creatures like you live amongst us. What was wrong with your mother? Had she never heard of planned parenthood? You could be the poster child promoting a womans right to choose.

  7. Peace be with you.

Capital Punishment the right to end a man's life is too great a right for men or the laws of men to exert. Abortion is a crime. It is the clearest case of Genocide facing "overly civilised humans".Surely the human race has gone mad. Here's a thought Imagine China bombing America to save Troy Davis just like Nato did to Ghaddafi.

Ghaddafi was a dictator in charge of a country for decades. the number of people he killed and abused are so high they can't be counted. Your comparison is illogical as is the inclusion of abortion. But you are right, human are very likely to make mistakes yet we taken capital punishment convictions as truth... convictions determined by regular people without any training in law or how to keep oneself separate and apart from our own biases and prejudices

Chrissy: everyone involved with the Davis case believes he's guilty, it's been reviewed dozens of times and still everyone involved believes he's guilty. Why? Because on the night of the murder Davis shot another man and the bullet Davis used matched the bullet found in the police officer. Also Davis changed clothes at his mother's after the shooting and his clothes were covered in blood. Davis knows he did it we know he did it's time for justice to be done.

Killing someone is never the answer, because it doesn't right a wrong. It only murders someone else and creates a new wrong with which a majority says is ok. It's wrong to murder this person, but it's ok to murder this person. It's ridiculus. Put the guy away for life. Heck deport him, take away his citizenship. But killing him is not the answer, I for one am glad there is a stay, for one, imagine if you are the convicted? One day your gonna die, the next your gonna live, the next your gonna die. Imagine living like that? Doesn't matter if he's in prison to boot. life is precious but to prove it you kill the man? I don't get it. Peace.
