Rapper T.I. released from halfway house

Rapper T.I. was released from an Atlanta halfway house Thursday morning, his lawyer said.

The popular hip-hop artist, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., wass serving an 11-month sentence for violating his parole on a gun conviction.

The rapper served two stints in the Arkansas prison. He served seven months there in 2009 as part of an unusual sentence negotiated two years ago to resolve federal gun charges. Those charges followed his attempt to buy three machine guns in the parking lot of an Atlanta grocery store.

His latest time behind bars was triggered by his arrest, along with his wife, after a motorcycle officer stopped their car on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California, a year ago.

A police report said suspected drugs were found in the couple's car and they were both arrested on drug charges. While the charge against the rapper was later dropped, he failed a drug test given by his parole officer.

When T.I. walked out of prison on August 31, he tweeted, "The storm is over & da sun back out."

T.I. had been released to a halfway house and briefly returned back to prison after confusion regarding how he got to the halfway house and who was with him.

There's an underlying issue that's not being dicussed! Why do rappers or black artists get popped by the popo disproprotionatetly to white artists!? Hhmm, can you say racial profiling, because I can guarantee they break the law at a proportionate rate! The facination with guns seems to be a male thing, not a black or white thing & drugs are an every1, rich, poor, whoever type of thing! If the police followed some non-famous, rich white kids in their daddy bought Beemer or Benz, stopped them & found drugs or open containers of alcohol, what would happen!? Slap on the wrist & you're on your way, worst case scenario! Possibly an appology by the Mayor to the Rich & Influential White daddy! But not so for our darker skinned neighbor, even if they're equally rich! Having said that, TI did use his wealth to buy great representation & worked a deal that the poor & middleclass could never attain, so I'm not feeling that sorry for him & Tiny! But even wealth doesn't make a black person immune to racial profiling!!

They are not Paris Hilton or Lindsey Lohan. Let's not forget Charlie Sheen and Rush Limbaugh. Let's face it TI gave them the rope through his foolish behavior, he forgot that he still is black.

For those defending this guy....He's a clown. That's what he gets paid to do...Be a court jester. He is also a criminal and who is celebrated by your little minority. It won't be long before he is back in jail and doing time becuse he has shown us all that he has a proclivity to do stupid things which he does from a faulty thinking process. He's is your hero, maybe because some of you do the same faulty decision making.
