Bahrain announces investigation into death of teen protester

Bahraini authorities opened an investigation Friday into the death of a 16-year-old anti-government protester after conflicting reports emerged about how he died.

The Interior Ministry said hospital workers reported the teen died Thursday of heart failure, while a forensic autopsy report by the attorney general found he died of a gunshot wound, according to an official statement released to Bahrain's state-run news agency.

"An immediate investigation has been issued on the impact of the death of Ahmed al-Jaber to determine the circumstances of death," the statement said.

I bet that this so-called "investigation" is being done at the behest of the right-wing thugs in Washington to cover up the brutal murder of this 16-year-old. Anything to make that U.S. and British backed tyrant of a king look good. The boy was murdered and no cover up is going to change that fact!

Here goes another cover up for that horrific King in Bahrain for propaganda purposes. This investigation needs to be done by an international forensic team with no political opinion of their own!!!

While I have little sympathy for the Shiites in the kingdom (all they're doing is making the country even less attractive to live in that it already was and is), it IS amusing to read the Gulf Daily News headlines and/or articles, which are so embarrassingly slanted and controlled by the local Government that it's hilarious. To the GDN editors – at least TRY to be less obviously governed by external forces when you write your propaganda, it's just so obvious that it's basically a slap in the face to intelligent people anywhere on the island. LOL
