This surelly marks the beginning and the end of Africa as a continent. This man was good for Africa (not good for the west). He was the royal King of POOR Africa and the immense oil resource that Libya has could was to help the poor nations of Africa develop but now through the very recent illegal contracts signed between the France/UK with the "new" libyian leaders while libya was still at "WAR" internally will ensure that this oil and wealth benefits the west only and not African Countries through these dubious contracts-very very unfair but the truth nevertheless. this my friends is how africa will remain poor forever. How can countries so rich and powerful take the little that africa has and live with it ???

    @james thompson:
Ah, nice name. Same as the former Governor of Illinois, who I have met on numerous occasions.

This is not the end of a continent. This is the end of a dictator's regime.
Ghadfi was no more a royal king than you are I.
As for the riches of Africa being distributed unfairly, look to the people/and companies who are distributing it, and not the people who are buying it.
I agree, it's unfair to the African people, but blaming the purchasers instead of the sellers, in this case, is erroneous.

  7. A "black" man was the first prsident of the USA.

Gadhafi wasn't just a dictator, he was a puppet who had served his purpose and disposed of.

This is not the "beginning of the end' for Africa, that happened when African tribal leaders began allowing foreigneres access to their own peoples. Now that oil and diamonds are more valuable than slaves [since we have slaves crossing our southern border at their own free will] African leaders are bribes into allowing access, not to their starving citizens, but to their vast mineral wealth. All of the world's mightiest nations raype Africa.

  8. A "black" man was the first prsident of the USA.

if not for the peoples of nations like the UK, France, Russia, China, and yes, the USA DEMANDING more, these world governments would have no need to raype Africa. If people were happy with what they earned and did not involve themselves in criminal activities to attain even more "stuff", and were smart enough to invest in themselves rather than Wall-Street, etc., there would simply be no need for our governments to aquire more for us citizens of the world.

China stands-out as different. Their economy booms because they pay 27 dollars per bbl. for oil while others pay OPEC upwards of 100. But that's only 1/2 the reason China thrives. in China, FRAUD is considered to be an capital offense, saving that nations trillions of dollars over the years. Soon, fraud will be an offense carrying a sentance of life in prison here in the US. (see above for more on how this will come about)

...our economy will thrive as never before one our CIA has investigated every single one of US, and the ones who have been defrauding US for years are all thrown into Homeland Security prisons. Imagine the trillions that will be saved just by having MD's who have been pushing pharmaceuticals RATHER than healthy lifestyles on US. That alone will save US about 1/2 trillion dollars per year, plus these fraudsters will be performing their hippocratic oath assignments from prison, and for free, until they have paid US back every single penny owing.

    Supply and demand.
    Three simple words.
If there isn't the supply, there would be no demand, not the other way around.
One cannot get blood from stone, per say.
It isn't available, then people can not avail themselves to these products.
    This is commerce, after all.
    Do I agree with it?
    No.
But it is what is, and someone told me before there isn't anything we can do about it.

Not going to embroil myself in a debate that is unwinnable, either, soooooo...
