Insurgents attack bases in Afghanistan

Insurgents launched attacks Thursday on a Provincial Reconstruction Team base and a military outpost in Afghanistan, Afghan and NATO officials said.

Three insurgents took positions in a house near a PRT base in Kandahar, said the region's police chief, Salim Ahsas.

Officials killed two of the attackers, but one was "still resisting in the building," Ahsas said.

There were no casualties among PRT or military personnel, Ahsas said.

Lt. Col. Jimmie Cummings, spokesman for NATO's International Security Assistance Force, said the fighting in Kandahar was one of two incidents Thursday.

The second involved a suicide car bomb that exploded outside an ISAF base in the Panjwai region. "There are no ISAF casualties and the base's perimeter was not penetrated," he said.

Anyone that would fight for the the US government that the people currently suffer under are either stupid, brainwashed or need the money. Anyone who would fight for this government is definitely an enemy of the people. The police are attacking Iraq War veterans here. We have no freedom except to choose debt slavery to banking and the elites' plan for global suffering. Go to Facebook and see "Wall Street Protest" and find out how to help the revolution.

Don't talk about military service unless you yourself have worn the uniform. You have zero context to draw your conclusions from.

to john sturgess: yes we can talk about military service anytime we want to , we need not your permission. even so , thank you for your service. but think about this. we did not win in viet nam. we did not win in iraq , as the winner is iran. and now america is bankrupct and we will not win in afghanistan. it is not your fault , john , it is because both president bush and now obama need not interfere with the military generals. give the military the green light to fight to win , never mind the rules of engagement , and make certain that you bring a "tear to the eyes of the enemy" whatever moves , kill it , and take no prisoners. and if china or russia wants to interfere , then , they will be nuked. if this sounds extreme , well then why not replay the video of the twin towers as they were hit with fully loaded 767's , thank you american and united airlines. we have spent one and one-half trillion dollars fighting these two wars , and lost both wars. again , john , it is not your fault and thanks for guys like you , our military is the best in the world , and if you allow them to fight , it would be finished in one year.
