Four men from Georgia have been arrested and charged in an alleged plot to purchase explosives and to manufacture ricin, a biological toxin, with the intent to attack U.S. citizens, according to the Justice Department.
"These defendants, who are alleged to be part of a fringe militia group, are charged with planning attacks against their own fellow citizens and government," U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a news release.FULL STORY
@Joey...Christians were commanded to treat their own body as they treated The Temple of God when they were members of the jewish faith. So, they kept The Temple spotlessly clean and do the same for their bodies. The Temple was a very strong building, and so should christians be. Jesus? He was an amazing physical specimen just like Paul and Timothy. He wasn't a fat man! He chose to be a carpenter working with "the sweat of his brow". He could have taken a job behind a desk, but he didn't. Paul could have remained a lawyer, but he chose to become a maker and mender of tents. I used to be an oilfield consultant fetching 600 dollars per day for my services. I now tint buildings, homes, and automobiles for a living "with the sweat of my own brow" and am happy with sustenance and covering. Money isn't all it's cracked-up to be. 🙂
He he...beauty IS in the eyes of the beholder, Joey. We all look better to ourselves than what others see. That man in your mirror doesn't show what's really going on inside. Kinda like the news we are fed these days. To get to the truth about what's going on, ya gotta dig deeper than the image shown. Mind-dulling pharmaceuticals not only add to weight gain, they blur the image in the mirror and even fool christians into thinking that God doesn't care if they are fat. And it would be enjoyable to perhaps meet you one day, Joey. Maybe run up the Manitou Incline together, drink some carrot juice, then go down to the park and hoop it up with our brutha's. 🙂
God, these muslims wouldn't let us have our peace. Why can't we bomb Georgia? It is in Pakistan 0r perhaps in Afghanistan? like most of my fellow Americans I'm not too good at geography.
Why do they dislike us ? We just bomb their countries, invade & occupy their land for years. But thats God's work we are doing. At least that is what Bush wanted us to believe & the likes of Mitt Romney, Bachmann, Gingrich, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Pastor Jones etc.etc.
These Georgian terrorists were planning to kill Americans, weren't they? And they have to be muslims.
This also reminds me of those Hutarees ( falsely labeled I'm sure, as Christian Soldiers by a biased media) of Michigan in March of 2010 for plotting to kill Federal Officials & use weapons of mass destruction. Then freed.
Somebody is using word of the day.
What a good girl.
Some may not see your post for what it is; I do.
Were they USA Citizens or aliens!
Omg. I just can't believe what I just read.
Try posting what you just did using my s/n 'Philip' some day, and see the reactions you get from the microbloggers. Most American's think that extra dead-bolt on their front door is in case Al Quida attacks...again? lmao (if Joey hadn't asked me to post those scriptures, they would have chewed me out for posting about the bible instead of telling dirty jokes as they have done many times.) Good post btw. 🙂
I need to have my ego stroked on a daily basis, otherwise I turn into a grumpy old man. A microblogger is what I call people who do not post as voraciously or as wordily as I do every day. I have nothing for disdain for anyone who doesn't write as much as I do. Good post, btw. 🙂
Hauling the "Partie Honteuse" (shameful part) of our inner world into the foreground, in order to observe the operative part, which has determined our development, the very place where man's intellectual pride least wishes to find it."
Of course that was a 'paraphrase'
I found the first paragraph very insightful, especially. I haven't read such words that have stimulated me like that in a long time. Outside of the Bible of course.
The last part of the first paragraph I find to be true of all of us in one realm of our lives or another. Only those seeking truth, IE "searching for it, as if searching for gold" will appreciate the following exert of Nietzsche's (Good/Evil and Good/Bad
"then I hope from my heart that the situation with these men might be reversed, that these investigators and the ones peering at the soul through their microscopes may be thoroughly brave, generous, and proud animals, who know how to control their hearts and their pain and who at the same time have educated themselves to sacrifice everything desirable for the sake of the truth, for the sake of every truth, even the simple, bitter, hateful, repellent, unchristian, immoral truth. . . . For there are such truths." —
Searching for the truth, no matter how ugly it may be, is like having 'light' where darkness once stood.
Thanks Joey for making me read it again.
Oh, BTW I don't blog here often anymore and found the conversations you have with Philip intriguing. I also meant no affront to you in my question on your reading of the Bible, just curious. Who I am is of no importance.
Hay! I was saving that for later use on Joey. sheesh. Now the cat's out of the bag. Thanx anyway, Art. Good post, well said, and food for thought. Yummy! (Joey and I will discuss this sometime...right, Joey?) ps...I worked from 4am-6pm yesterday and took a very long nap, and is why I am awake. Glad i got to read this. Hope to see you around here more often, Art. 🙂
I'm Art Philip,
Donna Said that Morality and immorality were two different things, so I looked at that and asked for a history of morality. Then I saw Nietzsche sitting in my GOOGLE search. I gotta go.
I AM GONE
BTW, I'm in a real hurry so if my previous post is horrific sorry
I do not look into a book by Nietzsche to find my truth, although I told Philip that he might start by reading there if he wanted to understand my truth, which is all that matters to me.
There is no shameful part of my soul. You may be ashamed of some of your soul, but I am not. All of the light and darkness in my soul is magnificent.
Aussi (also), moi (me), I have already stated clearly that I do not look into the Bible for truth.
Or the Koran, BTW.
Well, Joey...ART took your source for "helping" me and turned it on you. You win today's backpeddling award.
You ARE a soul, Joey... a less than perfect one. The word 'soul' literally means 'physical body'. In your bible that you claim to know so well, the english word 'soul' is translated from the Hebrew ne'phesh in the OT, and the Greek psyhe' in the NT. It is direct mistranslations of these words and many more that have you and other inteligent individuals thinking that the bible is hogwash. Obviously, soul and spirit are not the same, yet your bible says they are.
"Adam came to BE a living soul (nephesh)"...he didn't come to HAVE one. "There is an eventuality as respects man and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so too the other dies; and they all have but one spirit (Hebrew ru'ach)" -Eccl. 3:19 (man and beast have the same ru'ach, or spirit.) "The word of God is alive and sharper than any two-edged sword and peirces even to the dividing of soul (Greek psykhes') and spirit. (Greek pneu'matos)" -The retired professional athlete Paul at Heb. 4:12 So, the soul and spirit are not the same, although mistranslations found in your bible make them appear to be.
"The soul that is sinning, it itself shall die."-Ezekiel 18:4. You are a soul Joey, just as animals are...both are physical bodies. "His spirit (Hebrew ru'ach) goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."-Psalm 146:4. You have a dominant mental inclination (spirit) just as animals have. You seem to be an merry old soul, Joey. But if you die, you become a dead old soul, wormfood without the ability to think or feel.. The property rights to your body are then transfered from your ownership back to God, and he decides what to do with that piece of old property. He could choose to bring it back to life forever or he could choose to leave it dead forever. One thing for sure, he would never even think of allowing it to be set on fire and burn forever. That would make him an arsonist at least, or an extortionist.
No wonder you discount that bible of yours Joey. Any thinking man would be repulsed at the idea of some dude having his own dog's puppies torched for pooping on the rug too many times.
Please help me understand this, Joey! 🙂
Self-righteous prigboy strikes again.
