A Boeing 767 plane made a dramatic emergency landing at Warsaw, Poland's Frederic Chopin International airport after problems with its landing gear, an airport spokeswoman said Tuesday.
All the passengers on the flight, from New Jersey's Newark airport to Warsaw, are safe and uninjured, she told CNN.
The LOT Polish Airlines flight, which had been due to land at 1:35 local time, circled above the airport for an hour before coming down in a belly landing at 2:40, she said.
There were 230 people aboard the flight, Poland's TVN broadcaster said.

Well Done! There was a similar emergency landing in Iran last week, except it was just the front landing gear that did not lower.
JESTEM DUMNY, ŻE MAM TAKIEGO PILOTA POLAKA! 🙂
Kotek nie tylko jednego takiego mamy. Mamy swietnych pilotow, szkoda, ze niedocenianych na swiecie. W koncu nasi i na drzwiach od stodoly poleca:)
You claim than boeing is so super that polish pilot had nothing to do. If not his skills everybody could die. So appriciate id all of you. We have just good pilot:)
I just returned from Poland last night-flew out of Newark 2 weeks ago to Warsaw via Amsterdam, on Continental. I had heard bad things about LOT,but having now flown with them several flights during my trip, they are really a great airline and this just proves it.
well.. "proof" usually takes a bit more than this... but so far so good eh
How many pollacks does it take to land a 767?
chirp chirp...i hear an idiot breathing...chirp chirp
This landing is impressive, no doubt! But this a warning sign for the polish carrier LOT, get new planes now!
as far as i know they are waiting for new dreamliners
In plane years this one was not old. 🙂

2 words--Amazing Pilots!!!
nonsense.. once it's on the ground it's out of his/her hands.
the thing is to touch the ground smoothly and that requires skill
That'll buff right out.
That was a beautifully executed crash landing! My hat is off to the pilots. Thank goodness everyone is safe!!!
Good to know that they're all safe.
Amazing pilot skills. Good emergency procedures they have there – it just worked perfect.
Explain me one thing – why did they keep two F16 in the air for – circling above Warsaw with that Boeing?
F16 were in the air to see if the landing gear was out or in. There was a possibilty that it coud be working but the pilot wouldn't now about that
there is a procedure that whenever a plane (or a chopter) have trouble while flying over Poland, two jets are sent out to assess the situation and contact the crew to help them solve the problem.
Mike – the F-16s were there to shoot them down...c'mon...use your brains! If the landing gear is malfunctioning, it's nice to have something get close enough at jet speed to eyeball the gear and assist in a belly landing helping to determine position of acft in addition to instruments.
I saw a landing on TV last week that I Toyota Truck actually took place of the front landing gear. It was amazing. Toyota and Boeing make a good team.
What an amazing job by those pilots and landing that aircraft!!!
-before you jump on me i am kidding about the Toyota commercial.
What.......Don't they have Toyotas over there????
Those Polish boys got mad skills.
How many pollacks use Irish first names?
Landing gear? Landing gear? We don't need no stinking landing gear!
