Plane makes emergency landing in Poland; all passengers safe

A Boeing 767 plane made a dramatic emergency landing at Warsaw, Poland's Frederic Chopin International airport after problems with its landing gear, an airport spokeswoman said Tuesday.

All the passengers on the flight, from New Jersey's Newark airport to Warsaw, are safe and uninjured, she told CNN.

The LOT Polish Airlines flight, which had been due to land at 1:35 local time, circled above the airport for an hour before coming down in a belly landing at 2:40, she said.

There were 230 people aboard the flight, Poland's TVN broadcaster said.

I visited The Blaze, and thought wow, a bunch of religious nuts here. Then I visited the Huffington Post, and thought wow these folks are liberal talking heads and have not an original thought of their own. Then I came to CNN, and thought, these are the stupidest, most uninformed posters I have ever seen.
After visiting these sites, I have determined that The Blaze, despite the religious nuts, has the most informed posters, and intelligent comments.
Really, people you got to get out more. You gotta get over Sarah Palin. Read some Glenn Beck, or Ann Coulter, hell even some Bill O'Rielly will make you guys a little more intelligible. Oh, and maybe give you something new to talk about.

Two clueless women discussing something they know nothing about, while a bunch of heroes save hundreds of lives. Congrats to the pilot. Shame on Shiavo (sp?) for making it sound like this was nothing...just a routine landing...piece of cake.

Wouldn't a textbook landing be with the landing gear extended? 😀

Hats off to the pilots, crew, and support! Great landing!

Now if this were a Russian or French made plane, probably not. Carbon fiber and poor manufacturing techniques do not bode a well made plane.

What a bunch of mooroons habitate these comments. Ridley, Buck, Coultism are ignorant of any coherent thought and listening to their blather causes brain explosion. They only want your audience for their return.

Darek, Textbook landing means "textbook belly landing" you bozo.

Why would anyone ask an opinion of "Scary Mary" Schiavo–a person so incompetent that she was fired "for the convenience of the government"? She is a joke in the aviation industry–check the pilot's forums.

CNN–you need to get a REAL expert to comment on aviation matters–this one is a laughingstock!

Thank God for the lives of many that was saved by this singular ingenious landing. Kudos to the pilot and may we always take precautionary measures.
