I felt nothing down in Ardmore. I'm used to earthquakes being from LA, but it must not have been very strong.
I am from L.A. as well and live downtown OKC. It woke me up. Lasted a while. It was CA worthy.
It was probably fairly weak down here in Ardmore though.
I wouldn't call a 4.7 earth quake minor....
I wonder if the fault lines are about to become more active....there was a MAJOR quake a long time ago.
It's the END OF THW ROLD END OF THE WORLD...
Where is this geologically related to Yellostone's geysers? Just wondering??
Yellowstone is more than 1000 miles away. It could only be considered local on a galactic scale.
I apparently slept right through it. What's with all the earthquakes around here lately? I didn't think we were near a fault line.
-from Norman, OK
didnt feel it at all from norman
Woke me, but no one else in house, in OKC. Funny that it is front page news.
I am just east of Rogers AR and it sounded like a thump on the house & rattled a metal wall decoration in the bedroom. Looked at the clock – said 2:12. Now I know what it was.
I am from Muskogee Oklahoma and my wife woke me up to tell me about it last night. I looked at her funny and made fun of her thinking she dreamed it!! I am eating crow this morning and now have to go to the grocery store with her. I never go to the grocery store!! This is the third one this year! I had better make sure I am covered for earthquakes on my insurance policy!! LOL
I felt the Earthquake in Atoka!
It woke me up but did not think it was earthquake til I read now.

Frack Lover, do you know what fracking is?
I have a friend who lives near Tulsa and she reports that "glasses flew out of the cabinets, broken glass all over." Otherwise, they're OK.
