Lohan released from L.A. jail

Lindsay Lohan was released from jail early Monday morning, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said.

Lohan, 25, checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, on Sunday.

Last week, a Los Angeles County judge ordered Lohan, 25, to serve a 30-day jail term after she admitted she violated her probation on a necklace theft conviction.

"It's possible she could be booked in and booked out" the same day, Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said Wednesday.

"It depends on the fluctuations of the day, what's going on in the jail," Whitmore said.

After that, the actress must work at least 12 days a month at the county morgue until she completes the 53 remaining days on her court-ordered community service, Judge Stephanie Sautner told her. Lohan must also attend 18 psychotherapy sessions.

If Lohan misses any of those goals, she will be returned to jail for another 270 days, the judge ruled.

I guarantee that if she fails to complete any of her "goals" then she'll get less than one day in jail. I am so sick of celebrities getting off Scott-free.

It's sad that Lindsay can't realize the impact her choices now will have in the future. Maybe she needs more of a support group around her.

The justice system in LA for celebrities is a joke...and an embarrassment. Why should any of these misbehaving celelbs stop doing any of the things they do when they know they'll be no punishment for them?

Why don't they just pitch a tent in the yard and let her serve out her time?

What is reall needed is a prison system that once a person does time he/she never wants to go back. I L .A., and other places, the imates are cuddled too much.. 3 squares, clean bed and clothes, free showers free housing, free medical, TV and other recreation. If the inmates had to pay for their stay; it just may be an incentive not to come back. I read a story about a young punk who shot not kiled a person, just so he could go and get "buffed out" i.e. free gym workouts, he was getting too fat.

I should have added to my last post that in L.A. it was at one time that trustee imates were used to clean along the side of roads. The unions perswaded the state that this was tzking jobs awy from othres. Now the clean-up doesn't get done unless by volunteers of some company that is getting a tax break.. Have you ever seen those signs tha read "addopt a highway." Well, how about the pennal system addopting some roadways insead of giving a tax break to some company?

The only thing these type of criminals really learn is to be "smarter" the next time so as not to get caught. Just consider the mistakes Lohan made. She won't make those mistakes next time.

Don't you know that the 5 hour stay made a real "believer" of her. She can steal twice as much next time in exchange for 10 hours of her time?
