Lohan released from L.A. jail

Lindsay Lohan was released from jail early Monday morning, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said.

Lohan, 25, checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, on Sunday.

Last week, a Los Angeles County judge ordered Lohan, 25, to serve a 30-day jail term after she admitted she violated her probation on a necklace theft conviction.

"It's possible she could be booked in and booked out" the same day, Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said Wednesday.

"It depends on the fluctuations of the day, what's going on in the jail," Whitmore said.

After that, the actress must work at least 12 days a month at the county morgue until she completes the 53 remaining days on her court-ordered community service, Judge Stephanie Sautner told her. Lohan must also attend 18 psychotherapy sessions.

If Lohan misses any of those goals, she will be returned to jail for another 270 days, the judge ruled.

Lindsay is an In & Out Burger – she has popped into and out of jail more often than I have actually had In & Out Burgers… and I lived in LA! http://bit.ly/vS30Dv

Ya know. the jails ARE overpopulated due to an increase in crime all over the globe. WHY should we care for the murderers, rapists, drug dealers and pedophiles? THOSE kind of criminals should be dropped at Antartica with only the clothes and shoes they came in. No phones. No food. Nothing 4 them. Men & Women alike. Seriously. Then no more crowded jails/prisons. The lesser crimes could then serve thier time costing tax payers less money.

The piling on of this woman, is really sad. Who cares if she poses for playboy- is she the first woman that ever did it? She needs the cash for legal defense, because of all the harassment the justice system is giving her. I wish poeple would just layoff- if she stole a necklace fine- fine her 50K give 25K to the store owner. Everyone happy. Yes she's has issues, but we all have- the real inequity here is the piling on, not the missed volunteer work crime she comitted. I am really disappoint what our country has become,
