At least 60 insurgents killed in Afghan fighting

Between 60 and 70 insurgents were killed after launching an attack on an Afghan National Security Forces base and meeting with resistance, according to a spokesman for the governor of southeastern Paktika province.

The insurgents were carrying light and heavy weapons Tuesday night when they attacked the base in the Barmal district of Paktika province, which shares a border with Pakistan's South Waziristan, said spokesman Mokhlis Afghan.

They met with resistance from Afghan National Security Forces and NATO air support, the spokesman said.

  4. Funny

When terrorists start being called insurgents, you can almost feel the clock ticking down to Victory over terrorism being proclaimed. (That is if you have any feelers left) Funny 2 how it's never reported how many hundreds of attacks "terrorists" have made on the T.A.P.I.(Trans Afghan Pipeline Infrastrucure) I guess they prefer that you look down on China for having so many slaves rather than knowing that China pays less than 1/3 of what we do for crude oil flowing through those lines. (shrug) Ignorance being bliss and all.
