Surfing is already considered an extreme sport, but these riders are taking it to a whole new level. Check out one surfer breaking the world record for riding the largest wave, and others who sought out some unusual surfing spots.
Surf’s way, way up – Surfer Garrett McNamara rode a behemoth wave that is believed to be 90 feet tall. He broke the world record for the largest wave ever ridden. He didn’t realize how big it was at the time, but he says, “by the grace of God I made it through." Watch this unbelievable swell.
River Riders – Land-locked surfers from the Northeast gather at the Snake River to ride the river-driven rapids. The advantage: you can ride for long periods of time, lay down for a break, and then get back up. But riding the rapids can be dangerous. See what can happen at three minutes into the video.
Wild goose chase – Canada geese go "surfing" on the Colorado River. This spot on the river was modified to create extra waves for kayakers, but this gaggle of geese took advantage of the opportunity!
Blizzard blast – These hardy riders aren't going to get a little blizzard get in the way of their waves. Watch these Minnesota surfers take a dip in the icy Lake Superior water.
First!!!! I claim this spot for trolls, troglodytes, and mongoloids everywhere! Unite!! Unite the clans!!!

Real athletes use boogie boards...
Funny that the surfer himself is the one who claims the world record and everyone in the media buys it without question. The judges of the annual XXL awards are the ones who decide whether there's a world record or not – and that won't happen til the spring. The current ACTUAL world record – recognized by Guinness – was set at the Cortes Bank off California. Maybe this wave will actually break the record, maybe it won't. But you gullible fools at CNN bought Garrett's chest pounding claim hook, line and sinker. Way to go, morons.
Not me at 12:03.
The mighty Dolphin and Porpois rule the waves. (google 'surfing dolphins' and be amazed) Even surfers in southern California know that the wise course of action is to 'hang ten' on the beach when these mighty mammals lay claim to the waves. They've been known to attack humans, just as humans fight over whose wave it is. To date, not one surfer has won a fight against mightier mammal over who actually owns the wave, unless that mighty mammal be of his own species.
Okay. I get it. This is where you tell me that "locals rule", and that Yuppie insects like me shouldn't be surfing the break, right?
Who's? he he. And who gives a sh!t who posts mindless blab.
True classification won't come until next spring at the XXL Awards ........ but G-Mac will be in the running .
Surfing geese are pretty cool !!!!!
Say it enough times and someone's bound to believe it

Let me tell you something. I was in this bureau while you were still popping zits on your funny face and jacking off to the lingerie section of the Sears catalog.
