12:00 pm ET - Gingrich in Iowa - GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich hopes to ride his new momentum in the polls in Iowa, where he meets with employees of an insurance company in Des Moines.

2:00 pm ET - Congress back in session - House and Senate lawmakers return from their recess to discuss and debate the deficit and other issues of the day.

3:00 pm ET - Bachmann's Iowa town hall - GOP presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann is looking to rebound in the polls.  She holds a town hall-style meeting in Le Mars, Iowa.

7:15 pm ET - Perry attends Reagan Dinner - GOP presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry is also in Iowa today.  He will attend the Scott County GOP's Ronald Reagan Dinner in Bettendorf, Iowa. Live is your home for breaking news as it happens.
