UK cutting financial ties with Iran

Britain cut all financial ties with Iran over concerns about Iran's nuclear program Monday, the first time it has ever cut an entire country's banking sector off from British finance, the British Treasury announced.

@shahin2012: you said you were from iran. Are you in iran? Just curious.. Can you blog in iran? We ask questions – it's how we learn..

I think you are absolutely right. I don't fear iran having nukes, i think everyone should. The simple fact that the US *and* the USSR had them saved, and has continued to save, thousands of lives every day – it made war 'cold', and all we could really do was shake shoes at each other... Generations owe the fear of mutual destruction for them being here..

If everyone in the middle east had nukes, we'd have peace. A grudging peace to be sure.. But i like peace.

But where do you get off saying we are liars? I will be the first to say i have no idea what my government does behind closed doors. Defending a regime you oppose – basicly saying they're wrong but they are telling the truth in this one instance, even though you, yourself, know they are probably building bombs.. That's just.. What is that..? That's crazy talk, man..

I have no problem with you, or iranians in general. Most americans are like me. You know it's the governments' problems. And you know your government is wrong. That's why you're not there now.

Pray tell – where are you?

    The united states of america?

Guess any port in a storm?

Crazy talk? As I said before, just because I oppose the IR doesn't mean that they don't say intelligent things at times. Same counts for the US by the way. I may be giving anti-american arguments, but that doesn't mean I disagree with everything you do. Unlike those who think in black and white, I tend to see the case from every point of view.
If you don't mind, I'd like to keep my location to myself since I'm active on different anti-IR fora which may or may not be controlled by the IR and I'd still like to go back to Iran every year. I don't live in Iran (which would explain my access to cnn.com) but I can assure you I don't live in the US either.

I have my doubts that shahnin is who he says he is.
I have a feeling it is someone much closer to us than Iran.

Wherever @ shanin is & regardless of what he or she has to say , all thinking Americans would agree that a third war is what we do not need.
It would in no manner serve American interests, quite the opposite. And it is the last thing that a world plagued by violence, hunger, disease. poverty & illiteracy needs.

If you call this woman as gorgeous, there should be something wrong with your eyes. Get glasses.
