Judge taped whipping daughter is suspended

Judge William Adams, who made national headlines after the release of a 2004 video of him beating his then-teenage daughter, has been suspended by the Texas Supreme Court.

The reason for the action was not mentioned in an order of suspension that was made public Tuesday.

Adams, a court-at-law judge in Aransas County, was roundly criticized when his now-adult daughter posted online a video of him beating her with a belt when she was 16.

The video also showed the judge cursing and berating Hillary Adams.

Adams was punishing the girl for using the Internet "to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time," Hillary Adams wrote on the web posting.

@chrissy, The brat set her father up for that so called "beating". All this does is belittle child abuse for those who are truly in need of help from actually being BEATEN. This is HorseFLOP.

Set him up? She KNEW what was coming because he was a brutal animal. You could not set up a normal father to do something like this. Good for her. Every abused child should fight back!

How you treat children defines how they will be as adults, more often than not! No wonder there is so much violence in this world and when a child needs to be punished there are better methods than beating them! I saw the video that beatin went on & on!

And it was like a tag team match, when one parent got tired the other took over!! What kinda message did that send to that girl? And after watching it you just have to know it wasnt an isolated incident! They were BOTH pretty experienced in the abuse dept

Sounds like revenge 2 me. She needs 2 grow up & got the man suspended, probably lead to early retirement. She lame.

He deserves a more harsh punishment than he most likely will recieve! How would you like him posing a sentence on you in Family Court for doing what he has done? And many parents are jailed for less! If she was a spoiled brat, they created that!

He got what he deserved. People like that shouldn't be judges. It doesn't matter why she put the tape out there or how long after it happened. He was still wrong!

And he DESERVES far more punishment than being suspended from his job for cryin out loud! Our own MILITARY are NOT allowed to treat TERRORIST prisoners who have murdered l000s in this way!!! Why would ANYONE say its ok for a parent 2 do this to their kid?

Of course, he also deserves jail time although i dont suppose he will receive that since the statute of limitations has probably expired! Too bad tho cuz most assuradly he would receive the same treatment by his cell buds. Yup too bad hmmm

I and my boyfriend just watched the aired video footage of the Judge so called "beating" his daughter. Frankly I do not see any disturbing footage here nor does my boyfriend. We both agreed that the teenager whom was 16 yrs of age was caught stealing.
