At least 11 Syrian military defectors were shot dead Thursday during clashes with regular Syrian army units on the western outskirts of the city of Homs, an activist group said.
Four other defectors were wounded in the violence, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Another opposition human rights group, the Local Coordination Committees of Syria, said Syrian army units backed by armored vehicles stormed farms to the west of Homs, leading to 15 deaths.
A campaign of raids and arrests is also taking place in the Damascus suburb of Domeir, Qalet Mudeeq in Hama, and Baniyas, the LCC said.

It's time for another intervention.
I gots me a bad feelin bout this...
Tain't gonna be purty.
I personally support a "Libya Style" NATO intervention in Syria with the arming of Syrian rebels by Turkey and Jordan (US ally's) backed by NATO Air and Naval power. I am against any US or Western troops on the ground. Syria has enough anti-regime people to bring down the regime.

Here's another idea. How about the Arab League take care of this one. They have armies and air forces, don't they. Why wouldn't they be as capable of providing the same sevices as NATO ? And that gives a gaurantee of no western boots on the ground. America has already got a full plate, and we can't have dessert until we finish what we have.
Turkey is kinda 'right there'. Maybe some others in the region.. Jordan? Hell, even russia... It is, kinda, their spawn..
Arab League should take the initiative on this one.
bobcat's right; we have enough to deal with stateside.
Any mil attack on syria mays ends like Libya's; kill the president, create more rebels, leaves uncertain future for the Syrians. For me NATO had lost its focus.
