Iranian protest leads to embassy incursion

Iranian students stormed the British embassy in Tehran Tuesday, breaking down the door, throwing around papers and replacing the British flag with an Iranian one.

A CNN crew on the scene also saw protesting students throwing stones at the embassy's windows.

Iran's Press TV reported that police had the incident under control.

The incursion into the embassy happened during a protest demanding that the British ambassador be sent home immediately.

A crowd of about 1,000 people gathered near the embassy for the anti-British demonstration, and had been peaceful before some participants storming the building.

Are they angry because a first-born female may become first in line of succession to the throne?

Iran violating an embassy? Really? I'm shocked.

This is only about the tenth time in history these people have done this, compared with ZERO for the rest of the world combined.

This isn't a new thing. I remember reading once about Iran violating Russian Embassy grounds over a century ago, but I can't seem to find a reference now. I also can't think of a single example of any other country ever doing this. Maybe it's something Iranians are taught from a young age, that somehow this kind of thing is acceptable.

The demonstrators are doing what their Supreme Leader bids them do! Plus they get paid. All in a days work!

So true. We've seen how the Iranian riot police crack down when they are told to. I haven't seen any photos of bleeding students that 'clashed' with riot police or heard stories of arrests or people sent to the hospital.

It's just Iranians doing what they've been told to do.

Can anyone really blame the Iranians for this incident? I for one cannot! The British need to reassess their foreign policies and not be quite so subservient to the U.S.!

Very well said, BOMBO! In fact, if I were the British PM, the first thing that I'd do is to pull Great Britain out of NATO and forge better relations with both Russia and Iran. Unfortunately, David Cameron is both too stupid and amoral to think of such a thing!!!

Once again the thing from Uranus steals two screen names, posts something stupid, then agrees with himself.

      First he was GP
      Moronic things he stated
      But no one agrees

      Other names he steals
To pretend he has real friends
      Pathetic loser

Good for you and everybody with a bit of brain. The only reason Briton is interested in Iran they would like to go back to running Irans oil bussines buy their oil for 5$ and sell it for 80$ like it was 60 years ago

Troll, I suppose you're sitting in your basement picking your nose and laughing at how clever you are, but do you have any idea how pathetic it is to steal a screen name, make a stupid comment, then steal 3 other screen names to agree with yourself? Are you really so stupid that you don't realize how obvious it is to anyone reading that it is the same dork making all 4 comments? I don't care, I'll just keep posting, but I don't think Marine5484 has been around long and unfortunately he might get annoyed enough to stop posting.

So, troll, you will stop posting as George Patton, and you will stop stealing other people's names. We have determined that you lack the imagination to come up with your own screen name, so we have given you one, fitting your personality. From this moment on, you will be known as "The Thing From Uranus." You will post ONLY using this name, and you will be thankful for it. Failure to do so will result in further ridicule. Remember, we are not laughing with you, we are laughing AT YOU! This is not something to be proud of.

Sorry folks, I didn't post the above. It appears that some Tea Partier is getting uptight over this although I don't know why. Some Tea Partying fool keeps on trolling me just to make me look dumb. The bozo who posted ithe above is right about one thing, however. Being a Tea Partier is nothing to be proud of!
